ok i just never really understood it and i dont know anyone who is one......i guess it makes sense....

but now what if i joined a born again church and had kids - they are automically born agains? b/c it doesnt seem like anything that you are born into b/c these people are choosing it for themselves....i dont know why i am even thinking about this - its a slow day at work

LOL..it must be a slow day.

Being born again is a decision so you aren't necessarily born into it...like being catholic, muslim, etc.. On the flip side though you are more than likely to be the religion of your parents so most of the time your kids will just follow whatever religion you are even in born-again churches. However for them it's about the person making the decision. So they don't necessarily do baby-baptisms but do baby presentations, later on you make the decision to be 'born again' and if you want to be baptized after your 'bone-again' or 'saved' you do itas a symbol of your faith. That's my take on it all.

ugh its REALLY slow...

that makes a lot of sense....

i have a better take on it now.....

thanks ladies.....

Just like any other religion, just because your parents are one religion doesn't make you that religion. My dad is Catholic and my mom is Lutheran. My sister and I were baptized Lutheran. We're all Christians though.

Re: Silly question

being born again isn't somebody who changes religions. From what I've learned about being 'Born Again' it's simply a rebirth. Like how we're born into this world as human, we can also decide to be spiritually 'born' into the Family God. This is simply done by accepting God into your heart as your own personal Lord and savior. In the Bible Jesus basically says that only those who are born-again will see Heaven (John 3:3). So that's where the term came from. Just basically symbolizing a second birth.
