Slow-Cooker (crockpot)

OK got one for Christmas. Does anyone who works full time use a crockpot to cook? What recipes do you use? How long are you away from home that you leave it unattended and on? I am gone for about 10 hours a day with commute time and all. Help a crockpot virgin out. TIA

Re: Slow-Cooker (crockpot)

I have left my crock pot unattended for 8 to 10 hours. I just make sure there is nothing around it. I love it!

Re: Slow-Cooker (crockpot)

I work 10-12 hours a day and I leave my crockpot on all the time! I just keep it on low for that long, never high. I have found some great crockpot recipes on Skinnytaste.com (thanks Adelz! )

Re: Slow-Cooker (crockpot)

There is a crockpot app for the iphone I think!!!!!

Love using a crockpot to cook. I have a small one which we use but we got a big one for the shower and I can't wait to use it! It's currently in storage awaiting our new house!

Re: Slow-Cooker (crockpot)

old post

Check this out, I used a few of them and they were delish!! Also I have left my slow cooker on for 16 hours once. It cooks for 8 hours and goes to warm for 8, then shuts off. I've had no issues! Usually I leave it on for 8-10 hours though.
