does anyone make their marinara sauce in a slow cooker? Does it make it more flavorful?

Re: slow cooker question
I don't make it in a slow cooker but I might as well considering i cook it for a few hours at least. I just keep it on a low flame for a long time.

I was thinking of trying it thisa week and figured it could cook for like 10 hours while Im at work and be ready when I get home. Since I only cook it for like 45 minutes to an hour when I make it on weeknights. I thought maybe this way it would be better. But it wont over cook it right?

If you use a slowcooker? I don't think so, i think they're calibrated so things dont' burn, but I don't really use them so I'm not sure.
That's why my sauce is a Sunday event, so it can cook all afternoon while at least one of us is home, i'm just too paranoid to leave anything on while I'm at work all day. Even though I know people do it all the time, i'm just paranoid about it.
Are you going to cook meatballs or sausage in it as well?
