Hi Everybody...

I am back! DH took me to the ER at Methodist hospital last night. I was really scared because I had these sharp pains in my chest for about 24 hours. Believe me, it takes a lot for me to admit that there is something wrong, so to go to the ER is major for me.

Well, they did and EKG and chest X-ray, both were normal, but my chest was killing me, so they ran blood work and it came back with a high white blood count. The DR. said this was probably from a slight infection or inflammation around the lung, which is nothing too serious. He said there were no clots or anything to be worried about.

He also told me that the chest pains could be worsened by stress, anxiety, acid reflux or other stomach/esophogal (sp.??)ailments.

Anyway, I got back pretty late and had to get up at 6 AM for work and then I picked up my nephew (the adorable ring bearer) at 5PM, so I am just getting home now. The Dr. also made sure I left with the number of a referral service so that I can have an endless supply of Dr. references.

Thank you all for your prayers and hugs. I was really scared and I am going to monitor this regularly. If I could go back in time I would have never smoked a cigarette because it makes me worry about the damage that I have done to myself.

You girls are the best!

PS- Ev- You should totally work at Methodist--the ER doctors all look like movie stars--seriously, I had to contain myself in front of DH. I felt like I was in a TV show or something!
