So disappointed with our Proofs

We got our proofs back yesterday, and there is not one picture - well OK there is one that is what we call 'creative'. We thought we picked a photographer that would get some creative shots, like many of the ones I have seen on the boards. We didn't. We feel like we paid a premium for a mediocore job - we are really disappointed

Sure, there are enough 'good' pictures to put together a standard album, but we wanted more that that, and we don't have it.

Thank God for the video, he caputed all the great moments, but the expressions of our friends and family, creative angled pictures, 'wow' effect pictures are not what we got.

We met with the photographer and went over with him very specifically what we wanted.
We haven't spoken to him since we got the proofs (yesterday), so there may be something he can do - though I don't know what it is.

Here's the only one that shows any creativity -IMO

So sorry to hear this! I cant imagine how frustrating and upseting it must be but I want to commend you for coming forward and speaking about it.

I think too many disatisifed brides keep quiet for a number of reasons. At least your experience might help some future brides.

Maybe you can 'salvage' some of the traditional shots and make them more artistic by manipulating them in photoshop. I can try if you dont have Photoshop...do you have your photos up on Shutterfly? It wont be the same as having the real thing but no harm in trying.

Helen there are so many things you can do to your photos and read FM about the Thank you, cropping etc...don't give up hope.

Oh no! I am so sorry. I can only imagine what you are feeling. No bride should have to go through disappointment with their pics!

You're correct - since I posted this I got quite a few messages about unhappy proofs!! and I thought I was the only one

We are more than willing to try cropping in a photo program - in fact I posted on the NWR for advice about a reasonably priced one.

We have identified a couple of shots that we want to play with. If I scan them tonight, would you mind if I sent you 2 in particular ?
