So I Sold my dress this past week...........

........ and as much drama that came WITH the dress, I am actually sad that it's gone....... I know it's silly to feel this way, and with eveything that's going on right now with my mom, it's probably the last thing that I SHOULD feel sad about.....but I feel the way I feel.........

One thing that caught me off guard was that DH even made a comment about me selling it...... like, 'are you SURE you want to let it go?'........

Why would I keep it, really? I knew I was going to sell it after the wedding when I bought the dress, but wow.......just sad.....

Ok, done my pathedic post about me being sad about my dress........

Your Dress was gorgeous.......But hopefully it will make another Bride just as happy as it made you...

Hope all is as well as can be expected with your Mom....I read your post today and I hope you are hanging in there okay....You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers

I have to say you have more guts than I do. I am so attached to my dress that I had it preserved the week after our wedding.

Your dress was stunning! I am sorry you are feeling sad right now but I am sure it will subside in time. At least you have pics of you and your dress..

I probably should have, but it was taking up too much room in our already stuffed closet.......BLAH!

My mom phoned me tonight to tell me that she had a good day today, which obvioulsy put a smile on my face. My dad said she has been pretty depressed lately so having her have a 'good' day is such a great thing. I really hope it's from all of prayers and strength that are going her way........ She has her appointment next week with her doctors, so we will soon know the rest of the prognosis.......

Yah, that is the ONE thing that is making me happy!!! I hope she loves it as much as I did.......and knowing that I was able to help someone get a dress they wanted but couldn't afford brand new......makes me happy too......

Glad to hear that she had a good day, Ill keep her in my thoughts and prayers-its tough to do but stay strong for her and that will help her have better days.

That dress was gorgeous on you, but you have all the great pictures and memories from the wedding day and now someone else will get to wear that gown! That's wonderful!

I am such a sentimental sap that I don't think I'd sell my dress - but I have NO WHERE to put it!!!! It's STILL hanging from my bedroom curtain rod and tomorrow makes one month since the wedding! lol

I understand exactly how you feel

Think of all the great pics you have of your beautiful dress...and like they say on Clean Sweep... you don't need to hang onto something just because of the memories attached to it...you will still have the memories without the item...if that makes sense....know that it served it's purpose and has moved onto a better one...but i know how you feel...when i was alot younger my brother's car was stolen & we found it completely stripped in a bad neighborhood...i almost cried when i saw it...stupid but we had alot of fun in it...and it was what it represented.

As for your Mom keep positive...i've known people who have fought the odds and won...many due to faith and prayer!
