So just wondering....TWOTY

I dont think we're entering.... Vin didnt want to do it when it was a simple contest... Now that its much more involved, he really has no interest... I dunno... maybe he'll change his mind since hes in the doghouse and would prob do anything to please me at this point

I don't know! So many things went wrong for our wedding, and we laughed it off and made a joke outo f it, and thats exactly what we're doing for the video...

At first we were a little hesitant and then dh said 'Jen, who cares, its us, if they dont choose us at least we have another fun memory on video!

And I think he's so right!
Plus, we do random things all the time... ::Cough:: Eating hot dogs for our wedding shoot?

i agree it seems like forced fun, ...but i got the best idea and hopefully they like it :)

And if your video is fun and creative your chances are higher in getting selected since it shows you are up for anything and will be ready to have a blast the day of TWOTY. If your DH is not willing to make a video then he is not going to want to participate in all TWOTY pre and day of activities.

I don't know... DH really wants to do it....I was going to apply but I honestly do not like the rules this year. I don't want to send in a video to be judged on how fun we are. I don't like that.... I totally understand that they don't want any dead wood but I'm just not OK with this. DH is trying to talk me into it more but I'm still thinking about it.

I know what you mean about working for it... That isn't really the issue... I can't be 'fun' on demand... I am funny reacting to things...etc... I can't 'act'... i am sure I am not the only one who feels this way.

I think there would've been a better turnout if the 'rules' were either like write about why you deserve to be the BRIDE & GROOM... or in the bridal party, why do you want to do it.... or about your proposal ... write what you love about dh and vice versa...write about your wedding, blah blah...or of course random!!! like it always has been.. everyone has a fair shot.

it just seems that there would've been so man y other ways where everyone would feel more comfortable to apply. i feel that this was is very narrow. oh course whoever is chosen whether of not they are 'fun' will be having a ton of fun that day regardless. so i think this is ridiculously stupid.

not to mention people who may not have a video camera, someone to shoot it, the technology to upload it.....

as you can tell, i am VERY upset about this... I feel like i don't even DESERVE to go because I am not 'fun' enough...this feels very high school like to me...

Sorry for the vent...

This is NOT a personal attack on anyone. I just feel left out.

I'm not a NW... but I can be a part of TWOTY .... Azaila I'm soo sorry you feel this way. I can TOTALLY understand where you are coming from. Here are some hugs for you...

I have yet to decide what to do for this. I can't even think about it with my wedding being 2 weeks away. I would have liked to apply. Seems like it would be a lot of fun to do.
I have a feeling I ALREADY KNOW who will end up being chosen though.
