So just wondering....TWOTY

Hello Newlyweds!!!

I just stopped in to encourage you all to enter to be part of TWOTY. I know the rules are a little different this year, and it seems like a lot of work, but it is so worth it. You get to party all day and not have to worry about a thing. I CAN PROMISE EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU -- IT DOES NOT EVEN COMPARE TO YOUR WEDDING... It's a day to be pampered, drink, have fun and enjoy all the wonderful freebee's you get along the way.

My hubby was a little weirded out about doing it at first, but afterwards, he admitted how much fun he had.

If any of you have any questions, I'm happy to help!

We haven't done our video yet, but we are definitely applying. I don't mind that we have to apply and are being selected this year, because I think having fun is a big part of the event. I'm actually really excited about making our video!! Ideas have been coming to me in the night! hahahaha!!

I know what you mean about working for it... That isn't really the issue... I can't be 'fun' on demand... I am funny reacting to things...etc... I can't 'act'... i am sure I am not the only one who feels this way.

I think there would've been a better turnout if the 'rules' were either like write about why you deserve to be the BRIDE & GROOM... or in the bridal party, why do you want to do it.... or about your proposal ... write what you love about dh and vice versa...write about your wedding, blah blah...or of course random!!! like it always has been.. everyone has a fair shot.

it just seems that there would've been so man y other ways where everyone would feel more comfortable to apply. i feel that this was is very narrow. oh course whoever is chosen whether of not they are 'fun' will be having a ton of fun that day regardless. so i think this is ridiculously stupid.

not to mention people who may not have a video camera, someone to shoot it, the technology to upload it.....

as you can tell, i am VERY upset about this... I feel like i don't even DESERVE to go because I am not 'fun' enough...this feels very high school like to me...

This is NOT a personal attack on anyone. I just feel left out.

Im sorry you feel that way! I totally understand the part about the video camera and if anyone would like to apply but doesn't have access you are more than welcome to borrow ours! As far as feeling left out, im not sure why you would feel that way since you are choosing to not apply ya know? Im just trying to understand wher eyou are coming from sweetheart!

I feel left out because I am not creative in THAT way... and if you aren't creative in showing how 'fun' you are.. you are dead wood...

I know that it is a choice to apply...

here's an example...

I am a teacher right.. let's say hypothetically if there was this great job bonus available...in order for you to get it you would have to pass the bar exam to be a lawyer... does that make sense???

I guess I can't explain it
but those who feel the same way I do, understand

Im not a performer by any means. I actually HATE performing so does brad. Thanks for the good luck though

We're doing it...

Because honestly, a few weeks ago vin was Medatating (Spelling?) in the middle of kohls on a bear rug.... and i was like ' I LOVE U BUDDAH'

and people laughed with us.... I just, think its an awesoem thing to do with my husband...we had such an amazing time at our wedding and like vin said, if we were able to have an aamzing time and dance the night away again, he would pay to do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He was even considering renewing our vows and getting married again!!!

So...we're definitely doing it. We want to have fun, and live life.... and anyone whose seen our wedding pics, I am sure u can see we're n ot at all traditional

Exactly!!!!!!!!!!!!! Forced fun!

DH and I are totally fun! Trying to figure out what to do to show how fun we are...Not soo much fun! lol
but we got some sort of idea, its stupid but funny! so hopefully they like it!

i always thought i was creative, but thinking of something to do is driving me crazy! im not giving up cuz i want this soo bad!

DH and I are just going to do what we do on a weekly weekend basis... Just hyped up a little...

We figured we arent going to try to 'act' like something we're not to 'prove' we;re fun...

We think we're fun, so, if they don't, that's fine with us, as long as we're getting the laughs in!
