I got married in August of last year, and because of my super busy law school student and internship and clinic schedule I never got around to sending thank yous. I ordered them but they have been sitting in my desk since December.
What should I do 1. Send them with a little (better late than never funny note)
2. Send them without any additional note
3. Dont send them?
Most of my guests are aware that I was super busy because of law school, and I see them a lot (am sure they know how thankful I was).
Thoughts?
Thanks

I would definitely send them, I'm sure they'd rather get one a little late than not at all.. people always seem to remember when they don't get one. I wouldn't put the extra note pointing out they are late, especially if they know how busy you have been

You are still within the 'year'. Just send those suckers and stop feeling guilty!

I would send them out. You are still within the year, and it's just good etiquette...even though I'm sure your guests know you are grateful, nothing says thank you like a real thank you card...

I wouldn't even mention late -- cause they aren't. You are still within the one year mark so you are good to go.
Late is my cousin who just sent hers -- 5 1/2 years later.

WOAH. That's late. Who cares at this point? Did she really have them sitting around - or even a list of who gave what - for FIVE YEARS?

Re: So My thank you's are really late
I feel so guilty about thank you's because my cousin who got married in the 1st week of April sent her thank you's out already. Etiquette is one year though, so just send them now and you'll be fine. I am going to write mine this weekend!

Re: So My thank you's are really late
According to the etiquette rules, you have up until 1 year from the wedding date to send them out. So they are not late at all, and you should not even write or mention that you're sorry they are late - cause they are not late!!! I still have not sent mine out, I'm slowly working on them.

I would send them as soon as possible. People def. knoww they haven't been sent and there are people who are waiting fo rthem. Not everyone cares but most people do. Better late than never!
