It's funny.....I got married almost 3 years ago and I didn't know about this site. I used a fairly inexpensive photographer because it was just easier to go with the one that the reception hall recommended. At the time, my father was dying and I really wasn't in the right frame of mind. I also wasn't aware that you could upgrade within the package. Anyway, I got about 300 or so proofs. Many of them standard poses (which was okay because photo jounalism wasn't real popular yet) and what I see is the love that I have for my family and my husband in each of those pictures. We were so happy that day and that is what the photographer captured in our very traditional pictures. That is what matters the most! In fact, my ultimate favorite picture is one that my friend took and it is of me and dh laughing. Put the pictures away for a bit and them come back to them!

I know EXACTLY how you feel...I am just getting over the same thing now almost a year later, and you know what - I am coming to accept them. I know it's disappointing, but it's not the end of the world. I am sure you look beautiful!

When I look at mine now, I am like, 'Ok, I have seen pics way more beautiful than mine...but these are mine and I can't go back and re-do them...so ..life goes on!'

Hey PS if it makes you feel better, my dumb a** photog took pics of my DH in front of the lake at the Coral House...pretty right? Yeah except in the background behind the lake there is a construction trailer and orange netting!!

Aww I asm soo sorry MrsTC. But guess what. You touched on a good point. They are yours and you came to accept them. Time is everything. Our views change with time.

I'm sad too. My photographer did a PHENOMENOL JOB!!! But, everytime ANYONE sees my proofs, they want to know 'what's wrong with that one bridesmaid?' This is one of my BETTER group photos, only because she is looking sideways, so you can't really see how NASTY she looks...But, it still doesn't look good because she's turning to the side...
