Eww, this morning I was buying coffee and this guy asked me out. So, I said, 'Sorry, I'm married'
Then, he says, 'So, why don't you put me on lay away?'
I just said, 'Umm, I think I will let this sale pass me by'
EWWWW!!!

Yuck! I hate that - like they are so wonderful you would risk everything to go out with them!

Nope, I must have some happy newlywed bubble around me that men don't approach me. Then again, not many used to approach me anymore.

i developed the bubble too. it amazes me how quickly it dropped off after i got married (which makes my husband pretty happy)

I like how I can say I'm married now. Guys take that more seriously. If you say you have a boyfriend, they're more like 'yeah so?'
I don't get approached much. Maybe when I'm out at the bar with my friends though.

Re: So, who's been 'approached' since being married?
I've been approached a lot - I go to bars all the time to see my husband play in his band. I usually try and be surrounded by friends and we all look out for each other, but there are times when I end up by myself at the end of the evening.
I just politely tell them that I'm married, but thank you anyway.

I would be laughing so hard if a guy ever said that to me!! But alas, I think I also must have the bubble going on!

Re: So, who's been 'approached' since being married?
When I was in Texas, my friends used to say I could become invisible to all men.
Apparently when I was 'occupied' I sent off vibes that said 'no chance'. So much so, that sometimes when we'd all meet up to hang out, if they got there and I didn't see them first, they would say they didn't even recongize me until they realized the chick with the hair was actually me. (I had a LOT of guy friends).
The guys said sometimes girls are good at clearly stating 'hands off' without saying it. And no one who SERIOUSLY wants a chance comes close.
An idiot pass.. yah, I've gotten those.. nearly ALWAYS in Spanish no less! ... but I've never been approached when I'm in a happy relationship. heh

I tend to ignore guys when Im out in public.
I do remember being stuck in traffic and I looked over to my left and this guy looks at me smiling and waving at me, I was on the phone and I just lifted up my hand to show him my rings and ignored him but then he honked his horn and looked at me again, so I showed him my hand again and didn't bother looking at him.

Haven't been approached since getting married. I was approached when DH and I were engaged... I told the guy that my fiance would have to come with us on the date, or something like that.... he got the picture.

I've been smiled at/honked at in the car...that's it though. DH and I think it's funny and we tell each other when it happens.
DH says he likes it when I tell him because it blows up his ego that he's the lucky one that 'got the goods'
He also loves it that his friends think I'm 'hot'

I work as a bartender. I guess it is just an occupational hazard.

Re: So, who's been 'approached' since being married?
When I first got married, I would be approached a lot but I wouldn't say I was married bc I would feel that would be come across as being presumptuous in me thinking that he's hitting on me vs. just talking.
When I was engaged, DH and I were at a bar with some friends and this guy we both kind of knew just from frequenting the bar was hitting on me right in front of him!! And he knew we were engaged. It was very odd.

The only men that ever have approached me before and after marrriage are OLD-BALD Men. It is usually the oldest man at the club. I know you have all seen him

OMG!!! I was hit on two days in a row by a guy at Sam's club!!! My mom had me running back and forth for a family GTG...
I used to have contests with my friends (not to sound shallow and naive) to see how many people would hit on us.....Its kinda skeevy now...
