I have a really funny story from last year when I was engaged. I went to Mulcahy's with a friend for Happy Hour one Friday night. I have a pretty nice-sized stone on my engagement ring - my point being that you pretty much notice it right away. My friend and I were by the bar and two guys came over - nice, boring, dorky guys. They weren't scummy and he didn't have any wise lines so I could instantly shoot his advances down. He pretty much tried to pick me up for 15 minutes - I was waving my hand in front of my face, gesturing with my hand, pretty much shoving my ring in his face and he's still completely oblivious to this. He finally left when I guess it finally dawned on him that I wasn't interested. The really funny part is the entire time the bartender was cracking up listening to this whole exchange. When the guy finally left the bartender was like 'I don't know what's wrong with that guy - I can see your ring from across the bar!!'

I haven't gotten hit on, just the typical obnoxious whistles and comments walking on the streets in manhattan, which I've always ignored.

I went out last night for the first time with friends since the wedding and guys didn't seem to matter about the ring. I must have told this one guy 100 times I was married. I think they feel it is a challenge.

its so funny..i think more men notice me since i got married than before - in some ways, i htink women get a new confidence about themselves and i also think that there maybe something about 'not being able to have her' that attracts men to married women....too bad i love my dh too much!!!

They're still friends....it wasn't a big deal...he just acts inappropriately when he's drinking.....I think he was hitting on Tom too.....so it's not all that flattering!

I was out this New Years Eve with my DH and friends. I was standing with my friend across the dance floor from my DH and her boyfriend, when all of a sudden this guy comes behind us. He throws his arms around our necks and asks, what two beautiful single ladies are doing all by ourselves...(so corny). Obviously we tell him that we're not single and when I turn around he said 'OH' as he glanced at my pregnant belly. My DH was cracking up across the dance floor.
I guess it feels good to be hit on even when you're pregnant!!

i think the worst thing about being approached now is that its by married men and its like they just assume we are in the same miserable boat. i think its pretty horrible that alot of people just assume that if your married your soo totally unhappy.

it's wierd - I get hit on all the time - guys and girls! DH loves it when we're at our fav bar, hbc he says the bartender has a crush on me and she gives us free drinks.... it's flattering, but very wierd!!
Before I was married, some guy followed me back to my office when I was on my lunch break - even though I was practically flashing my ring in his face the whole time - he was devastated when I told him I was engaged! While I was shopping for my WEDDING DRESS, some random guy in the store kept hitting on me - I remember thinking 'I hope this isn't soemone's fiance!' And now that I am married, I notice it even more than ever!! We were at a friend's house for New Years, and as I'm standing next to DH, talking about our wedding, one guy there was all in my face and telling me how beautiful I was and how much he loved my laugh...... And my wedding band/e-ring seems to be a magnet for pick up lines now too - everyday it seems like some other guy approaches me!!
So funny - DH's friends all think I'm hot too, and my best friend and her husband told me I was number one on their Hot Friend List! I think they're all crazy - In my mind, I'm still a chubby awkward 13 year old nerd!!
