not too much. we had dinner tonight with FMIL and her husband. she's still nuts, but a bit calmer now....she's actually been put on some kind of medication that kind of mellows her out, so that helps a lot!

definitely looking forward to the weekend, though. we are going to go to a first time home buyers 'thing' that our city is putting on for free. figure we might as well check it out even though we don't know how long we'll be here for. i'm tired of spending rent money and seeing it go bye-bye.

how abt you? how are you feeling these days? any better?

thats good that she's more mellow. better living through chemistry!

dh & i are slowly starting to go to open houses. i'm ready for it. i'm just waiting for him to be really ready ... but he's willing to pacify me by occasionally going to open houses. hopefully he'll be ready very soon, i'd like to buy something this year and i have no idea how long it will take us to find something we love.

i hear you about the renting thing ... i've been renting for about 8 years now, and i'm tired of paying someone else's mortgage!

yeah, and the market down here is still very strong, and you can't find a single family home in a safe area, less than an hour's drive from the city for anything less than $500k. It's nuts. but if there's some kind of credit around here, we may try to find a condo or something. though i will hate giving up the view from our balcony... *sigh*

i really do need to post an update for everyone, i'll try to do that tomorrow.

most recent news is that i got back my MRI results, and i have a torn tendon in my rotator cuff. my rheumatologist found that ... so now i have to go to the orthopedist b/c my last one suckkked. he could have ordered the MRI a month ago when i was at his office, but instead he sent me to go get blood work done.

it IS good that i am having the blood work done b/c there could be something going on there ... just had to give blood for the 3rd time in 3 weeks today so they could run more tests.

well, at least that was found so it can be fixed. sorry that the vampires are coming for you, though. that is NO fun. and yes, odd abt your doc being out of sync. it's so weird that so many of them are like that...reactive instead of proactive. i'm sure they will figure this out for you. they have to.

The original orthopedist was my MILs recommendation. So I'm in the market for a new one!

Its really frustrating because everything I've read about this type of tear says to treat it ASAP ... and I've wasted a MONTH with bloodwork

I'm just that they don't tell me I need surgery ....

I am FINALLY getting my hair cut tomorrow. I haven't cut it since the summer .... its been 8 months since I've had it cut, and 5 months since I've had it colored

I still have no clue what I'm going to do with it, so I'm nervous/anxious/excited about it.

i hear ya. I think he's still around but I had an awesome ortho when I was still on the Island: Dr. Finkel. I know it may be a bit of a drive for you, but he was seriously a miracle worker and helped me get back on track after numerous tears, shin splints, etc. I think he was even the ortho for the Islanders at one point, but regardless, he was great.

Thanks for the recommendation, I'll definitely keep him in mind.

Not sure if DH will let me use him though.
