I'm supposed to be off from work all of next week but w/ so much crap left undone at work.......I BROUGHT WORK HOME why can't little elves come in the middle of the night at work and just do it for me?

anyone else feeling overwhelmed from work so far in '08?

yes me Helen. I am going in tomorrow on my day off and I have two girls that will be going on Maternity leave soon and I am going to be swamped. Enjoy your week off and try not to stress over work and enjoy your time off.

that s*cks Irene! it really sounds like you're overwhelmed too!! I was going to go in tomorrrow to work, but then I figured if I'm going to do work I'd rather do it from home. next week is my birthday and I wanted to go away w/ DH but since we're not I'm still taking off b/c I need a few mental health days!! lately at work I just feel like yelling! I like my job, but I just wish I could clone myself to get everything done!! lol

don't kill yourself at work tomorrow Irene!! and tell your boss you need a raise!!

Yes!!! Totally feeling overwhelmed so far this year. This week felt like I blinked and it's over already. I also had to bring home two different projects to work on this weekend, but at least it's a 3 day weekend, so one extra day to get everything done. (we need a yawning icon)

lol!! this is kinda close to yawning I totally agree w/ you.....the whole week flew by! sorry you had to bring home 2 projects!!! hope you still get to enjoy the weekend!!

lol thanks!!! I keep telling myself, Helen don't get yourself noticed, you don't need a promotion when baby making will be around the corner lol, but I can't help it, I'm a perfectionist, I need to learn to let GO! that's awesome that you work for a family business!! will it be passed down to you sooner or later?

I work for a financial company too, but so far they've still done well despite all the other banks having to borrow from Abu Dhabi, China, et al. when I used to work in logistics this was always the slow time of the year when it was approaching chinese new year......ahhhhh I miss having slow time! but I know when its too slow it gets old quick! hope it picks up for ya Ryan! or we could always trade places for a week!
