Something for Fun!!!

Today, We brought back all the Cans & Bottles & We saved $5.00

Just wanted to see who else saves their cans/bottles/glasses & brings them to the machine themselves.

I started saving our cans during the wedding since we paid for the wedding ourselves. Every penny helps.

I usually use the tickets for our purchases....otherwise it goes in our 'Bear Change Jar'...

I keep telling DH that we should start cashing them in! I think we're gonna start but we haven't yet!

DH Hates to have to go & do them. Sometimes they Pile Up.
You should start doing it....it defintely saves some $$$$

I used to bring in our empty soda cans to a co-worker of mine whose son was collecting them to make some money (he was 8).. but now DH and I throw everything in the garbage.. we are bad..

this is us too. Every now and then there is a guy in our complex who collects them-we will give them to him, but usually into the garbage they go

I grew up in the can recycling family Everyone we knew used to save them for us. We actually bought a commodore 64 with all the money we saved from recycling. I still save bottles and return them when we have a big pile. I like to buy a snickers bar with my bottle money.

Did you ever see the Seinfeld when Kramer and Newman were driving all the bottles to Michigan to get 10cents per bottle. That was my dads dream we could have bought two commodore 64s in 1984

They don't recycle in our building... so I bring it back for the recycling purposes... if I don't make it to the store... I bring them to my mom's and put them in the green bucket... she loves when I bring my garbage to leave at her house! LOL...

I moved to PA and they dont have the 5 cent deposit here, so I throw them in the bin at our apartment complex

We did once and got about $40 back!!!!! It was ALOT!
We usually just bag it up and leave it outside... bums take them overnight Or we'll drop them off and leave them at the store for someone else to deposit

We collect our bottles and cans and deposit them. We figured it's extra money...and we get charged for that 5 cents when you buy it, so we might as well get our money back.
