Songs for video....

How many do we have to pick? And what are they?

growing up?
dating?
engagement?

Will they ask for HM pics?

Does there have to be music? I am interested in hearing what people were saying as opposed to music.....

BTW I used Duet for video (not photo)

i think it wil depend on the 'feel' you want for your video

some i choose are

Chapel of Love of Bride's house
SO in Love by UNV for Opening
Jazz (Kenny G) for the reception
Kenny Lattimore for intro chapter

i had to pick 10 overall

This is what I used for each chapter (i asked them to add a seperate chapter for honeymoon pics at end):
*Baby Pictures: Amazed by Lonestar
*Getting Ready: I Could Not Ask for More by Edwin McCain
*Ceremony: my musicians were not clear on the video, so they used Pachebels Canon for when people walked down the aisle. There was no music for the actual ceremony.
*Formals: I Love You More Today Than Yesterday by Spiral Staircase
*Reception: No music, actual sound from reception
*Recap:Our wedding song, You're the Inspiration by Chicago
* Honeymoon Pictures: Blue Hawaii instrumental

I didn't use any of the Videographers songs. In fact I downloaded my songs and burned them, and then gave the CD to him

Well we are definitely going to pick our own songs, and I am sure that will be fun since we are both huge music people. But I had no idea we had to chose this many songs!!

I can't remember exactly, but I think maybe it starts off with
In My Life - Beatles (for the intro and baby pictures)
At Last - Etta James (for the pics together)
Beyond the Sea - Bobby Darin (not sure - reception maybe?)
You give me Love-Faith Hill (recap)

I think there were more, maybe one? But I can't remember right now (you'd think I could since we just watched it on our anniversary last month )

Duet also told us to only choose 3 songs for the video but I just didn't 'get that.'

I kept going over it with Eric and Nicole by email, so at our layout/video meeting I gave them a CD with about 6-8 songs .. they used about 5-6 of them I think? It just depends on how much music you want in there and if you want extra chapers, etc.. like Julie did, she wanted her HM pics at the end , whereas Duet usually puts the picutre montage together at the beginning in one chapter.

I did tell them specifically where to use what song .. BUT as for the few extra songs, I said to us the songs where they saw fit.. and they did a great job

Honestly if you dont like anything as far as the music goes, they will def. change it for you ..

Oops Heather, just for some more ideas. You dont HAVE to include honeymoon pictures, just give them whatever you like for the picture montage .. we did baby/childhood, teenage, dating and then HM pics.

These are what songs I used for each chapter:

Baby Pictures/Dating/HM: In my Life - Beatles

Getting Ready:Whenever I see you Smiling Face -James Taylor

Recap of Ceremony leading into recap of reception: Storybook Love from 'The Princess Bride' (both instrumental and sung)

Reception Recap: September by Earth Wind & Fire

Photo Shoot: Come Sail Away by Styx (DH's choice actually.. we had given Duet a few songs for this, but they wound up editing our 'photo shoot' to this song .and it actaully sounded sooooo good) The 'photo shoot' is just a chapter where they videotaped when we were takign our pictures in between ceremony/reception and at our hall.. it is soo cool

Reception: as Julie said -no music, just actual music/speeches, etc from reception.
