My photographer was contracted for 10, but he came to me early and stayed late- 12 hours!!!

10 hours 130p-11:30p. He was not there for the last half hour of the reception, but the videographer was there the whole time. We had the option of having him stay the extra half hour, but he got so many reception pics the night of the wedding, so we had him go at 1130p.

About 12 hours. I think the biggest question with regard to hours is: Where are you having your ceremony? If your ceremony is at your reception hall, your day (and need for photographer) will be shorter. However, if you are having your ceremony at a church, your day will often be longer and you will require more hours of picture-taking. Hope this helps. I think the best way to figure it out is to think of what time you will be in the final stages of getting ready and then, what time approx. you should be cutting your cake. That is the # of hours you will need the photographer. Although, you may want them for longer.

We didnt have a cap on the hours in the contract but they were with us for 10.5 hours - from 2PM to 12:30AM

Same here, he got to my house around 12:45 and left my hall 10:30ish? I don't know what time he left, I didn't have a watch on.

My photographer arrived at the house at 12 and actually waited in line with the rest of my guests to say goodnight. No one one left early. So she was with me 11 hours.
