Speaking of being scared....

Jen's post told me to remind you ladies of something. I was in the parking lot of the super market and some lady came up to me and told me never to leave my keys in my purse if I leave my purse in the cart, she heard reports that at a few supermarkets, they are going around and snatching purses, and if the keys are inside along with your wallet, they can easily break into your home before you could even get back.

NEVER leave your keys or phone in your purse, keep them attached to you.

I did in fact hear of some robberies in the Lake grove, ronkonkoma, nesconset, setauket areas, so please be advised.

I dont understand why women would leave their purse in their carts to begin with. That's just like asking to have to taken!

how about the ones who leave them in there and walk away from the cart to get something down an aisle they can't get through? at least take the purse with you!!!

I put my purse in the cart and then I buckle it in with the little seatbelt they put in...if someone tried to snatch it they'd get more than just the bag!

Also I don't walk away from my cart.

yeah that stuff is happening a lot lately... I work at a supermarket in Selden and customers constantly walk away from their carts leaving their purse in the cart and I'll never understand why. Not even a month ago, someone had their purse stolen. And there are a lot of robberies of actual stores going on (aside from homes)... The dairy barn was robbed in Selden, as well as a private pharmacy near the store I work in. And before I was transferred to the store I'm in now, I worked in Centereach and our store was robbed... That was over a year ago.

My keys are always in my pocket. I was always afraid if someone stole my purse at least I will have my keys on me.
