Speaking of Cablevision...

DH & I are on our first year - Triple Play deal from cablevision....
In a few months, we'll be moving but also possibly re-upping our contract w/ Cablevision...

How much did your bill go up?
We have the basic cable service - no movie channels..so right now our bill is a lil over $100 a month.

Ours is like $170 now! And we don’t even have any movie channels!!! (We have 1 regular box and 1 DVR box.)

Luckily we’re moving soon and we’re going to re-sign up with my name so we get the deal again bc it’s crazy.

Before we switched to verizon (at the end of January), we were paying $165 plus tax. That was for, cable, HBO, HBO on demand, one DVR, one regular box and internet service. On top of that I was paying verizon for my home phone (never liked the Optimum phone lines - always had problems with it going out).

We switched to verizon and are paying aboyut $145 for ALL the movie channels, multi-room dvr box, one regular box, internet and phone.

not sure...we actually were able to get the first 2 years at the special rate.

good idea!!! its in my maiden name, im going to make sure when we switch that we put it in DH's name!

Although I have a feeling DH wants to look into Verizon

Well I’m sure they wouldn’t be happy if they found that out, but I’m totally doing it anyway. I still haven’t changed my maiden name, so we have completely different names still.

That's what we have. I LOVE Verizon. So much better than cable.

I just got something in the mail saying that if you were a cablevision customer but switched to Fios and want to come back, they'll give you the triple play for 2 years instead of the 1. DH threatens to walk about every other day, and usually his argument is based on the salaries the Rangers get paid haha, but maybe we will walk and go back to get the deal. A 60 buck increase a month or so is over 700 dollars a year!
