Spin off..What did you get your DH for 1st anniversary?

Since we are trying to buy a home a vacation (like we had origanlly planned) is out of the question...
trying to get ideas for a gift for our first anniversary...
what did everyone else do or buy?

we are going to our original HM location (that we could not go to for our HM) and we will renew our vows. We are also buying each other our 'dress' wedding bands.

I bought Dh a Sieko Aviator's Watch with its paper warranty...lol
And Dh gave me paper tickets to Sea World San Antonio and followed it up in the a suite at the Emily Morgan Hotel for the weekend up in San Antonio he had everything planned out meals, horse and carriage rides, flowers.

We went to the Fitzpatrick Hotel in Manhatten for a night. I bought him a silver celtic cross on a chain & a cd.

We just took a vacation that we said was for our one year. I also bought him a watch and a disney one stock with an engraved plate : ).

We'll be going to the place we got married for dinner on the actual day.

We are going to Florida the week before our anniversary, and then on the day, are going to dinner with both of our parents to the place we got married......thinking of getting him a TIVO, so he wont miss his car shows!

Just bought him tickets for Yankee/Red Sox Game the day we come back from our first anniversary trip.

Bought them off of EBAY! Didn't Bid cause I didn't want to chance loseing them.

We are also spending 2 nights & 2 days out at my inlaws summer cottage then coming home & leaving in the morning for the Poconos for 5 days/4 Nights.

I was JUST thinking about this, as we hit one year next month. I have NO CLUE what to get him...if anything! We are spending money already on a really nice B&B in VA and a meal at the Inn at Little Washington. Is this enough, or should I get a gift too? Help!

We're trekking Mexico/Belize/Guatemala...

But, since the trip's really more for me I may get him a gift too. He's really into old maps of the area, so I may try to find a pre-1950's street map of NYC/Long Island.

Or, I'm still trying to find the first LP by his fav. band (it's been quite elusive for 4 years, so I'd be pretty lucky to find it now).

We were just talking about this last night, and DH has put in a request for his RC car parts.
I can't help but think that 'car parts' aren't really an anniversary gift- but he loves them so!
We're going to Mexico w/ another couple, spending our anniversary night alone, and I'll give him something related to the RC cars.
Not sure what he'll give me?
