A few girls mentioned this on the MIL thread and I'm wondering if your DH is like your dad?
It's funny..DH is a combination of my father (who passed away when I was 6) and my step-dad. My dad was a clean-cut professional, white-collar worker, very intelligent, who liked (or at least dreamed of) the finer things in life. He liked to run, liked to read, and loved politics. DH and my father are alike in so many ways that we often joke that my dad must have hand-picked him from heaven. My step-father is a much more casual, blue-collared worker, but also very smart. He has a very mechanical mind. He likes getting his hands dirty and isn't afraid to do anything himself. Mix the two together and you've got my hubby! I think I was looking for the best qualities of both my dads.

im some ways, they are very similar. My dad was very outgoing though, and DH is very quiet around people he does not know that well.

Sometimes my Mom & I laugh that he is 'being my Dad'...haha...but he has a much more positive outlook than my Dad who is very negative and has a quick temper...DH is much more easy going and adventurous. I jut wish he knew how to fix stuff like my Dad...haha...but at least i inherited that.

not really. DH is more comfortable with emotions, but they share a great sense of humor and are more laid back. I wish they had a chance to meet but my father passed away before I met Nate. I know he is watching over though and knows Nate that way.

yeah, alittle... not with everything- but DH does have some characteristics that my Dad has and I love that!!
