So the other thread got me thinking. I had someone wear a white dress to my wedding, ONE YEAR after that same girl got married herself. She HAD to have known the ettiquette.
So do you follow the 'no white' to a wedding rule or if you had a cute white dress or a dress that had mostly white you'd wear it anyway?

I would NEVER wear white to a wedding. I once wore a zebra print dress to a wedding because it was all I had that fit and was clean and I even felt like that was too much white.

I never wear white/cream/off-white to weddings. I just think if I did EVERYONE would stare at me like I was a crazy loon and I would feel uncomfortable.

Im sorry - THIS is where I draw the line - someone shows up in white (esp a white dress) to the wedding...they are just a rude, attention-seeking effin a-hole!
I just worked a wedding at the Plandome CC & the groom's sister wore a bleach-white pant suit. I was like...r u effin kidding me? sister or no sister - if that was my DH's sister & she did that - Hasta LA BYE BYE BIOTCH!

i would never in a million years wear white to a wedding! I also try to stay away from BM colors if I'm not in the BP.

No way! I was at a wedding where a girl wore a white LONG dress...granted it didnt look lke a bridal gown but i still thought it was funny!
No I wouldn't wear all white. I don't think there is anything wrong with wearing a dress that has some white (black and white polka dots for instance) but I would not wear all white.

I just dont wear white LOL but if I did I would never. there are so many colors out there, why the one that signifies a wedding/bride???

I remember when I was really young and my mother and grandmother would talk about people who wore white to a wedding.
What was confusing was after that having my mother wear this stark silver.... almost white dress to my wedding.

never I think that's totally tacky!
I would wear something with white in it if it wasn't the primary color - or something with a white background if it was MOSTLY and I do mean mostly covered in a pattern but would still wear something else if I could!

I definitely wouldn't...a) I don't own anything solid white, and b) I'd feel like a fool. I don't even like wearing anything that has white in it...like as a base, if it was white on black maybe ok, but not black on white, you know? I had a few people wear white-ish to my wedding, one pissed me off more than the other, but I'd never do it.

I would never. DH's grandma wore a white lace dress to our wedding. I couldn't be mad though since it was his grandma, but anyone else....I would have been fuming!
