Did you guys exchange gifts? If so, what did you get one another? Did you go a little crazy with the spending bc its a 'big' anniverary?
DH is already surprising me with a weekend getaway somewhere... The hotel itself was a big chunk of $$ for us, plus spending, dinner, etc on top of that... And then DH comes home yesterday and tells me he got me some new pandora charms for my bracelet (which arent exactly cheap either) for my anny gift.... Yet 2 days ago, we said the trip was 'our' gift... So now DH is expecting to get a gift from me... I have an idea of what to get... sporting event tickets for both of us (to go with the whole 1st anny paper gift), but I feel like this whole anny has spun out of control now...
Sorry for the long winded post... Just wanted to see if you girls went/are going to go a bit overboard with the big first anny...

We got puppies...that was our gift to each other! If we hadn't we were going to just do a nice dinner and maybe a night at danfords...we arent huge gift givers at all

We'll probably do a nice dinner, and then the top of our cake. Maybe we'll go on vacation, but I'm not sure about actual gifts.

alright that makes me feel a little better since im sure those puppies (and everything else that goes along with em) was a spurlge! ... yea, all i wanted to do was to go back to SC for a lunch and I was very content with that LOL, but I wont complain
Whatever... next big spending can be for our 5 yr anny... All those years in between, you get a card and like it... hey, i'll even spurlge and get one with music!

we're going to disney for our anniversary, but a few weeks early.
But as a gift to each other, we're hoping DH can get off of work on our actual anniversary for the isle/ranger game!! a ticket is paper

I just spent a bunch of money buying him a grill for his birthday. Sadly I can't spend money on an anniversary gift too, I just don't have the $ to spend. I am trying to think of something thoughtful and sweet, but I am running out of time since we go away Friday and come back the night before our anniversary.

We are going on a cruise next month.
But on our actual anniversary we went to dinner at the milleridge and spent the night in the hotel where we were for the wedding.
i wanted to do the paper thing for dh so I gave him 'money' for a new xm radio that he needs desperately.
I told him not to get me anything. Since he always does so much for me!!! Plus he spent enough!!!!
I got a beautiful card and he wrote the sweetest things!!!

We are going away for a mini-vacation, and that night we'll go out for a nice dinner. We decided not to do gifts.

We are going on a cruise about a month after our anniversary and that is our gift to each other.
Our anniversary falls on Labor Day this year so we will probably go out to dinner at some point that weekend and spend Labor Day with family and friends.

We went on a cruise and for our anni we paid to go to one of the restaurants that u had to pay extra for...it was nice and romantic and ee had a cake and they sang to us
I'm pushing to go on vacation around our anniversary as a celebration. I am trying to convince DH that we should go to Italy.

We drove out to Asheville (about 4 hours) for the weekend and stayed at a hotel there. We also went out to a really nice dinner while we were there. You may remember we were supposed to do a segway tour together, just like we had on our HM, but I couldn't do it because preggo head made me way too dizzy on the machine. We still had a really fun weekend.
I just gave DH a card.
ETA: we're closing on our new house tomorrow so we couldn't go crazy with spending

since we couldnt go to Cabo for our HM were gonna try to plan it for our 1 year anniversary.... but im in my cousins wedding in may and hes in my other cousins wedding in july... so we'll see what the money situation is like

DH got me a really nice gold bracelet, very pretty and very real!!
For DH I booked us on the Wildlife Discovery Excursion at Disney's Animal Kingdom. It's a private tour of Kilamanjaro Safari. He LOVES the ride, and this was so special!
