Ok ladies so I know we all had these great plans to do things our first NYE as a married couple. But my question is WHO atcually did it?
I myself spent it at home. On my couch, half dead. NO fancy dinner for Pete and I, no sexy dress. We had to give our noj-refundable reservation to his parents. I caught some sort of flue on late Sat afternoon and it was the kind thatturns your insides into a mutant guerilla warfare camp. SOO gross to say this lmao but by the end nothing but pink porridge was even in there-all I could eat. Nothign seems to stay in and we almost went to the ER yesterday because I kept pasming like these horrible cramps that twisted me in half-couldnt catch a breath. Today I can sitt up but still feel 'off' so we're going to First Care to make sure its not a virus on top of something else because some of my symptons seemed ulcerlike and my mom has one so not too far fetched to believe I could develop one too because of the way I stress,
I just ate pancakes so we will see if these 'stay' where they should... UGH! I was so dissapointed because w eplanned this for so long and instead we both passed out after him holding my head when my spasms threatened to shake me in two. We woke up at 12:05 when my mom called me to wish us a happy new year. I had to speak to EVERYONE lol and then we went to bed.
What did everyone else do?

we went out for sushi and then to our neighbors for a party and then watched tv. our town had fireworks and we could see them from our bedroom

We ended up doing more than originally planned actually and it was a lot of fun!
We had 3 of our friends come over and all we did was drink, play ping pong, play guitar hero, and laugh...it was mellow, and yet so much fun!

He caught the cold that I'm just starting to recover from....stomachs are intact here, thank God!!!! Hope you are feeling better by now!!!

I spent my NYE in Jamaica. We are on our honeymoon, We came to check our email. Anybody else been to Couples San Souci? I think I want to live here forever!!! Happy New Year to all!!!

We stayed in and I cooked Filet Mignon and shrimp Then we had a bottle of champagne, watched the ball drop, and fell asleep.

Hope you feel better Jenn.. It seems like everyone is getting sick.. I feel crappy and so does my sister in law..
I spent New Years Eve with my hubby, son, and family in Staten Island..it was a lot of fun..Lots of eating, dancing...but no drinking...because today I had my mom, grandparents over for dinner...so now its 10:00 p.m. and everything is clean...and for the life of me I can't relax...I'm still on New Years Eve mode...LOL..Good Luck to everyone that has to go to work tomorrow...Like me..

FYI- when I feel like complete crappola and am dehydrated, I ask someone to go to the infant isle of CVS and pick up pedialyte (that gatorade-like object they give babies with fevers). that stuff ROCKS... unlike gatorade, it's balanced to restore people who are really green......
DH and I caught a cold from SIL. DH has raging sinus congestion and a fever, and I have the upset stomach. Not incapacitating, though.... sooooo, we cooked and cleaned for 2 days and had our party as planned
I made ethiopean food (tibs wat, lentil, collard greens, and injera), 'shermosas' (my version of indian samosas), baked brie with raspberry preserves, and spinach dip.
the only thing sacrificed was baking a cake. just didn't have the energy it's fine. everyone was full anyway

oooh jenn i'm SO sorry u didn't get to enjoy ur nice fancy dinner but there will be plenty more to come...u'll get to wear the little hot number one of these days for us, we actually just had a nice quiet night at home w/some good lovin lol. We had a wedding the night before out on long island, and i had to work today - so we laid low & watched the ball drop at home we had casually invited another couple over, and we also got invited to a few friends places, but we decided to just stay in, and the other couple ended up staying home too. It was actually nice. We've done the whole big new years bash the last few years, so staying in was a nice change. It did feel like it was over in a flash, but all in all it was nice

we had our first party had about 14 people over - we ate, drank lots of patron and then had our own parade lol (DH plays the bagpipes - so as he played we all followed him down like 3 blocks to where my family was partying - made a ruckus, then walked back) it was soooo much fun!

Aww, Jenn, hope you're feeling better. Sorry your NYE didn't turn out the way you hoped.
Well, even though all of our friends were mad at me because of it, I did not back down. Stuck with my plans of not hanging out & watching everyone get drunk. DH & I went to see AVP, had some Wendy's and then went to my Mom's to play a game with my sister & her fiance. My sister didn't feel so good so she went to lay down. So it was me, DH, my Mom, sister's fiance and his friend. Played 'Loaded Questions' which was alot of fun. My sister got up at midnight and we all said Happy New Year. Then I asked DH if we could just stay at my Mom's because I didn't feel like going home and dealing with the people that were going to be there. So we slept at Mom's and about 4am I woke up from the most severe cramps I have ever had!! Thought I was going to die. This went on until about 5:45 and then DH & I stopped at 7-11 for some Advil, went home and he got ready for work.

Im so glad people had a nice time. I really think NYE should be a time with people ya love cause ya spent a year with em already, migth as well start a new one with them too.
I am still sick. Ive probably lost a solid 5 pounds. Fashion models around the world hate me right now
I cant seem to keep anythign in longer than a few hours. But no vomiting knock on wood so as long as I carry my DEPENDS, I am good...

Awwww well I sure hope you are feeling better! We really didn't do much.... by the time I got home from work at 7:30...we just ate a lil something and tried not to fall asleep.....we held out though! Managed to do the nasty and make all my calls after 12 and then if was nothing but at 1:30 am LOL....yesturday we spent most of the day in pj's and relaxed

We did what we'd planned to do - hosted a Seventies themed party for 15 people.
DH cooked and baked for 3 days. We had SO much food! There were 15 different appetizers, 4entrees (lamb, chicken, beef, and fish), and 7 different desserts.
