spinoff to 'anyone else?'

How does DH react to issues/sickness/problems...?

I told DH when we were dating a few weeks to just put it out there...most guys run for the hills or make stupid comments..believe me I have encountered them all!!

DH is so good with taking care of me, he is always making sure he helps me whn I need it and dont even have to ask, he just knows :) I wont lie he thinks its a perk to have the blue handicap pass bc we can always get a spot and less chance of door dings!!

Re: spinoff to 'anyone else?'

The handicap pass is such a perk, DH has one due to his accident over the summer.

As for DH with me, it honestly depends. I haven't had a seizure since we met so he doesn't believe me to an extent. But with the migraines he is super sweet. He takes the dog and lets me be in the bedroom with all the lights out. I'm sure if I ever had a seizure her would be there for me. He knows when I'm just whining and when I really feel like poop!

Re: spinoff to 'anyone else?'

well, when i told DH about my PCOS and cysts years ago, he always would tell me that with modern science not to worry because even if we had trouble TTC, it would happen. Now that we are actively trying, whenever i go to the doctor he always asks me how everything went, like 20 questions and is super suppoertive about everyting. he never blames me or finds fault with the fact that we aren't pregnant yet, even though i know that deep down inside, he desperately wants a child. It kind of hurts to see him with my youngest niece because you can see the longing there in his eyes, but he never says anything

Re: spinoff to 'anyone else?'

My dh found out I was hearing impaired by accident. We were chatting on the phone andhe couldnt hear what I was saying. When he finally got it, he goes 'sorry, I wear hearing aids!' and I just said, 'really? me too!' Obviously I knew he was kidding but I knew he didnt know and I didnt know how to come out and tell him. It was the perfect way! He asked a few questions and that was it. He is pretty good with it although he does get annoyed when I walk around and dont put my hearing aids in. I cant help it! The quiet is so nice!

When I'm sick he is pretty good, he'll get me OJ, medicine and so forth.

Only because we are amazing women!

MY DH was in an accident 12 days before our wedding, had his toe amputated 8days before our wedding, and hobbled through the day best he could. I never panicked, my only concern was how he was feeling.....he still says he was expecting me to freak out! haha!

Re: spinoff to 'anyone else?'

Dh is pretty good about everything but he is a hot mess himself. My poor husband suffers from psoriasis so he gets those red itchy patches and I feel so bad. he also suffers from chronic asthma. He also has a hard time smelling because of repeatedly broken nose. So he says he feels bad when we have kids because they will be a mess themselves.

Re: spinoff to 'anyone else?'

My DH said to me early on (when we first started dating I had a staff infection in my thumb) that he would take me even if he had to duct tape me together...trust me when I say, there have been some times where I have had to be duct taped together LOL In the 3 years I've known my DH I've had 2nd degree burns, a staff infection, fell out of an orange tree, sprained (possibly tore ligaments) my ankle 2 days before the wedding, and had my eyes swell shut due to an allergy. He's the calm one through it all! Amazing, I tell ya!

Re: spinoff to 'anyone else?'

DH is pretty good with it, even though i was a nightmare when the pain from the pinched nerve was at its worst. i wasnt sleeping hardly at all because no matter what position i laid in it seemed to hurt. so the lack of sleep made me a real b*tch. he was very supportive even though i know it bummed him out that i was so depressed about it and didnt feel like doing anything since everything made it hurt more. he's still really supportive he always makes sure when we fly or go to the movies to sit to my right so my left arm doesnt get squished and no pressure is put on my nerves.
