Spinoff to Black Friday - RUDE People during the holidays

Please post your experiences with rude people during the holidays (shoppers, sales people, etc). I always hear things about people taking DVD players out of other people's carts, etc.

Anyway - here's mine.

I went shopping at Roosevelt a few years back and I always like to park upstairs by Bloomingdales. I know it will take me awhile to find a spot and so circle around until I do. So 10 min later I see someone pulling out 4 rows from the store....I put my blinker on and feel relieved. The lady had actually waved to me to show me where she was parked! Then, all of a sudden a car in front of me (also looking for a spot) - throws the car in reverse and starts backing up bc she wants the spot! I lay on the horn and she doesnt move. Then her friend proceeds to get out of the car with her cane and walk over to stand in the spot. I continue to lay on my horn and they dont move. I have never been so mad in my life but this lady was not moving her car and lady with the cane was not moving either. The whole cane thing made me feel bad so I pulled away...but not without rolling down my window and saying 'Merry F-N Christmas'. I sware I wanted to run them over or key their car. My blood was boiling SO bad!

do you have a bloomingdales card? if so next time you go to bloomies at Roosevelt field, they have free valet parking for anybody with a bloomies card, you just have to show them thats all. This is what I always do

Espo - no I dont. But that is great to know! I really dont even go to that mall anymore because I live in NJ. I got to Paramus which is like the Roosevelt of NJ!

Oh i heard of Paramus mall. Hmmm I wonder if they do the same thing. I know when I went to the mall in Westchester they also had the valet parking so you never know. Might be worth it to get the card JUST for this reason

It's so funny that you mention the whole, staning in a spot thing! My best friend used to make us do that when we were in college and drove to the syracuse mall! I hated it! But, a few years ago, I met my best friend at the movies. She told me where she was parked and said there was a spot right next to her, and she was standing in it. So, as I am approaching, this couple in an SUV wants that spot. Mind you, there are empty spots all around us, including right next to the spot where my friend was standing! This man proceeds to curse at her, calling her fat and all these other horrible things! And as he's doing it, he's inching his truck closer and closer to her! Eventually, he actually bumps her knees with the bumper of his car! She yells to me to call the cops b/c he hit her with his car! So, we called the police and they did take a report. Of course the jerk drove off as soon as he saw I was calling the cops. We just wanted a report on file in case he came back to our cars while we were in the movies.

I don't condone that she was standing in the spot, however for him to have actually touched her with his car was totally uncalled for!!! Especially when there was a space right next to the one she was standing in!

Something about driving and competing in NY with all the other drivers who just don't care about anyone else brings it out in us!!!! And the more cars on the road, the more aggression there is.... All the more reason to avoid Black Friday!!!

I was in jc penny kneeling down looking at pants on a shelf when this woman came over and literally was leaning on my back to look at stuff on the top shelf so I yelled at her to get the f**** off of me

Years back I worked at Wal-Mart at Courtesy. Well once the doors are open people make a mad dash for the items they are looking for-
I was behind the courtsey counter out of the way watching them unlock the doors. There were other employees lined at the side giving SHOPPING CARTS and clapping / welcoming in the crowd.
As a woman went to take a shopping cart (there were over 200 carts available) another woman put her hand on the empty cart. The first woman PUNCHED her in the face, and took off with the cart jogging in the store.....MADNESS i tell you!!

Well mine started LAST NIGHT!!!! I went to Best Buy to pick up DH Birthday Gift. I had a game put on hold not knowing how many would be left since it is a new game. So I go to the Customer Service Counter and wait my turn (I could have just gone and got one off the shelf but I felt like I put it on hold I can wait the two minutes). So the person behind the counter says next and I go and some woman just steps up -- I say excuse me the line is over there -- she says I was waiting over here cause no one was there. I said well I was there and there was a man infront of me so there were people there and that is hwere the sign says form line HERE). She wouldn't move and the dumb A*s behind the counter says nothing. I say well I just need a game I have on hold and she says well I just need my laptop plug fixed WHAT.

The words that came out of my mouth next I care not to repeat because I am not proud. Went and grabbed game off the shelf paid and left.
