Spinoff to chores: Cleaning the bathroom (or any other room)

So in reading how we all seem to hate the same thing, I wanted to see if we can give advice to eachother on how to make it a little better for ourselves to get through these horrible chores

Right now I am ready to throw my shower doors out the window... no matter what I get water marks and I can not stand it!

I totally agree with you and it drives me nuts! Unfortunately, I don't have any good advice but I'd sure like some

I used to have shower doors at my moms house in my shower and i bought a squeegie (sp?) at target and used it just about everytime I showered and it kept the water marks to a minimum! Have you tried that?

I hate cleaning the bathroom bc the floor tiles, toilet, tub & vanity counter are all white what was I thinking?? Every little thing shows on them and I am constantly wiping them off!

To get rid of water marks and all grim on shower doors and the tiles I use Zep bathroom cleaner. It works awesome.

You spray it on then wipe it off. I swear by it.

I use clorox bleach spray everywhere! It cuts through grime like no other on all sinks, tub and toilets! I use the shower scrubbing bubble on the faucets and ajax in the bowl of the toilet.

scrubbing bubbles spray in the can works well. the pump bottle is the same stuff but the can seems to last longer and sprays better. i usually have to use it a few times (i spray the tub, let it sit 10 mins, wipe it off and do it 1-2 more times - my DH is an auto body guy, he is soooo dirty all the time and it stains the tub ....)

Try a mixture of 1/4 cup white vinegar and 2 cups water to clean the shower doors and the faucet.
I use that on my windows instead of windex, gets them really clean and streak free.

I bribe DH with yummy treats to clean the bathroom for me! It's worked once or twice!! It's one chore we BOTH hate.

This has worked for me so far:

1- I use a squeegie after EACH shower and make sure all water is off the doors/walls of the glass.

2- I bought a shower spray that is meant to be used after EACH shower. All you do is spray it on and leave it there...no rubbing/cleaning required!

3- I use a shower cleaner when I clean the bathrooms once a week and it is easy to wipe off anything left behind by step 2....no water marks, EVER!

In our new apartment we don't have shower doors, just a curtain thank god. But when I was living in Dh's parents house I used the Scrubbing Bubbles scrubber that they now have. It worked well.

I do the same thing with the shower/tub. I prefer the Scrubbing Bubbles foam.

Oh, my DH always says he wants to get the shower spray. How is it...you like it? I'm always afraid it will leave the tub slippery.
