I work for a University, so we get snow days as well... thing is-- one of my best friends from college is in a play tonight in Manhattan. I was planning on driving to my parents house in Valley Stream after work , taking the LIRR and meeting my husband for dinner. (He works down at the World Financial Center) The play is at 8pm midtown...
Do you think this is a bad idea?
How bad is it supposed to be?
Why can't I just wait until it starts snowing and see how bad it is instead of bothering you darling ladies?
Why do my nails break IMMEDIATELY after getting them done????

Re: Spinoff to snowstorm-- need advice
I dont know how bad its supposed to get in LI_In Nj where I live we expect 3-6 inches. I dont know when its supposed to start but I do know people in tri-state area get crazed with snow so people might leave early and traffic could be horrific. I'd play it by ear and just keep track of the weather updates.

yes. =( She's a student at the The American Academy of Dramatic Arts. I don't get to see her often so I REALLY try to make it whenever she's in something.

luckily I'm only about 15-20 minutes from my parents house. then I plan to take the train.
I guess the best thing is to wait it out.... I'm just so IMPATIENT!

Heh well here is the hour by hour for NY-doesnt look too abd. Looks like it will be more sleet than anything else so it shouldnt overly effect you.
Keep an eye on the MTA website later on today too to see how the train are running if the weather is really bad. They provide service alerts for the LIRR.

Re: Spinoff to snowstorm-- need advice
It's only supposed to snow about 1-3 inches in NYC and Long Island area... I don't think it will be so bad!

Re: Spinoff to snowstorm-- need advice
i heard 3-5 inches late tonight - which probably means a light dusting since the weather is almost never accurate. I say go!
