I went to Queens college for my BA
Queens College for my master's teaching.

I have mixed emotions about teaching. There are days that I love it and days that I just come home and cry.

I am also out of a job right now. Since I graduated, I can not seem to secure a FT teaching job unless I want to work in Brooklyn or the Bronx.

I have poured so much time and effort into teaching. I really cared about my job and the kids, but it always went unnoticed. It is a thankless job.

You really have to have enough confidence in yourself and be self-motivated to do well I think.

yes this is very true!!! I am currently working now in the south bronx, hopefully i can myself to queens....

I agree with some of the teachers...I can't stand teaching...I work in Brooklyn (good old Board of Ed) teaching first grade...I dread each day, but I try to make the most of it...I am spending my entire Sunday making lesson plans : (

i got my bachelor of music and bachelor of science in finance from ithaca college, 2003. there's a bunch of us IC grads on here too!

DH got his BS in chemistry from IC in 2004 and is in the 4th yr of his Phd program in Biochemistry at the wonderful Univeristy of Arizona. when he's done, hopefully i get to go back. i'm either gonna get my masters in arts admin or in music ed but for now, i have to stay in my crappy finance job to pay the bills. oh well.

DH got his BS in Cornell University and Law Degree in Fordham University

We also both went to UCL (univ. College of London) for semester oversea to study Economics

i went to the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. It's a 2yr. conservatory for performing arts ... acting, dancing, singing, stage, film, voice production & speech, etc..... i count it because i worked my A** off!!!!!!

OMG so did BunnyBride!!! How wild is that? I almost auditioned for that school but ended up spending $$$$$$ for a conservatory!

I'm sad some of you girls don't like teaching... I wish it worked out for you! I love it and there are days I don't wanna get up for it!! I'm dreading tomorrow...but once I get there I'm fine. I guess I just like sleeping in too much!

started out at Syracuse University for 2 years
then transfered to NYU where I got my B.S. in Educational Theatre....

needless to say I do not work in Educational Theatre!!! But am looking to.

How funny!!! i knew u were an actor but i didn't know we trained at the same place too! haha!

And I'm also a teacher questioning my career path. It's A LOT HARDER than most people realize. But there are some really fantastic moments that keep me going every day.
