Spinoff: what has changed since you've been married?
Original post by Jax430
On the ridiculously long drama thread on the '05 board, some of the ladies started saying that nothing really changes once you're married. I was wondering who over here felt that way and how people's lives have changed since they've been married.
Personally, my life is completely different. Brad and I didn't live together until we were married. As a matter of fact, we lived an hour apart at least, and usually only saw each other on weekends. Aside from college, this is the first time I've lived away from my parents and had complete adult responsibilities! My life is totally different than it was this time last year.

I have to echo Felicia and Anniegrl. Since DH and I been together for 6 years lived together for 3 years in our own house and have had a 'child' (dog) for 2 years, there's very little difference in our relationship overall.
But I feel more settled and less anxious now that we are married.
There's just a different feel in our relationship now, we compromise faster and watch what we say to each other a little more. It's not a conscious effort on either of our parts, but when I think back to recent arguments I see a change.
We're just closer than ever and I think marriage really solidified our FRIENDSHIP more than anything.
