Spinoff - When did you meet your IL's for the first time??

I gave DH a REALLY hard time about meeting his parents!!! I finally agreed to meet them after 6 months of us being together ( May not seem like it was that long but they live only 1 mile from where I was living and DH and I were seeing eachother every day so it felt like we had been together forever at that point!)

I met DH's parents before we were dating. We were just friends. It was DH's college graduation party and I didn't even know him that well, just through another friend, but I was invited to the party. I remember hearing from our friend (eventually BM) that my MIL was asking about me, who I was, was I single. I think she set her sights on me for DH.

DH also met my parents when we were friends. He came over with the same friend (BM) to pick me up to go out one night when we went to play pool. My parents liked him and bugged me about dating him for a few years.

I met my FIL the same day I met DH. They were working together and I got introduced to them at the same time.

I met my MIL (this is embarassing) but I met her at 7am, after the first night we spent together. She came over b/c DH's neighborhood was having a huge yard sale. I walked out of the bedroom into the kitchen and had to introduce myself to her since DH was in the shower.

His family lives in Boston and it was just shy of two years for us!

I gave him a really hard time about it and he was pissed when he found out his sisters and I talked through IM's before we met. He wanted to make sure we were serious first. For the first two years, we only saw each other every three weeks. So we didn't know what we were doing.
