s.s. office update
i posted about 2 weeks ago that i went to the rego park s.s. office to change my name. i wanted to make my maiden name my middle name (i already had a middle name that i wanted to drop.)
well i waited about 2 1/2 hours at the REGO PARK office and they would NOT let me change my middle name.
today i went to the MINEOLA s.s office and in 15 MINUTES they let me change my maiden name to my middle name.
so i'm now first name /maiden name / married name.
i can't believe the HUGE difference between the 2 s.s. offices! 2 1/2 hours vs. 15 minutes! i HIGHLY recommend going to the long island offices to do any name changes (s.s., dmv, passport, etc.)
i am SOOO happy that i do not have to go to the court house and change my name that way!
