Still no wedding album! What should I do?
I am so pissed right now and the worst is I don't feel like there is anything I can do. It is a long vent, so please bare with me, although I will try and keep it short.
As you know I was married in October 2003, almost 17 months ago. I still do NOT have my wedding album!!!!!!! Granted part of it is my fault. We didn't sitdown to choose our album until May 12th. Before that we had been so busy with househunting, packing, moving, painting, and my grandmother passing away. So when things finally settled down I couldn't get an appt. until May. Fine, I get that. So when we satdown with them they gave us paperwork and told us it could take 6-8 months to get our album.
So in Oct I called to check the status, hoping it would be here for our one year anniversary, no such luck. Then they called the beginning of December to tell us our video was ready, but not our album. So I called back and they said January. Ok, initially they did say 6-8 months and January 12th was 8 months. On January 12th I called again and was told I wasn't scheduled to be in until mid-Feb. I asked how could that be, I called last month and they said mid-Jan. Then they told me well 8 months was Feb, I said NO, it is January. And they were like 'oh', someone messed up and put you in the Feb batch. I was very unhappy and told them this was unacceptable. I understand that there is nothing they could do if it is out at the printer for Feb, but I expect something for their mistake. They told me to pick out a bunch of pictures and they will have 8x10s made. OK. So the women I spoke with said she will call the publisher and have a rush put on it and hopefully it will be in the beginning of Feb and she would call me back. Of course she didn't. So I called like 3 times before I finally spoke with someone and said it would be mid-Feb there is nothing they can do.
So it is mid-February now you say, do I have my album. NO!!! I called last week and spoke to someone who said there is a 'production delay' and it is out of their hands. This time I was still nice, but very firm and stern. I told her this was ridiculous and not acceptable. She said she was going to make some calls and call me back to let me know. She did say my parent albums would be in this week. I called Thursday, Friday, Tuesday, and Wednesday and left messages. Last night, while we were out of course, I got a call from someone different (in their NJ office). She said there was a production delay and nothing they could do. That my parent album's should be done in about 2 weeks and my album another 4 weeks. She said they are just waiting for the book back from the bookbinder and that the prints are all done and waiting the book to be assembled.
I am so furious I don't know what to do. I know I can report them to the BBB, but honestly that does nothing. I am seriously considering contacting my lawyer.
