was i on crack or did i hear correctly this morning the news reporter saying that if the bailout plan was rejected banks would immediately start closing and it would have a tremendous ripple effect accross the board? it was the 1st thing i listened to so i could very well be making this stuff up...

Interesting. So meanwhile I am sitting at a financial company, yet I have noooo clue how this will or will not effect you and me. I just dont understand a lot of this stuff!

oh this is probably going to start happening right now.

I was very iffy with the bail out plan. Part of me thought it should be done but the other part said no way. They are trying to come up with other solutions to help the problem so hopefully it will work somehow. From what i heard, the market is doing bad today which is no surprise.

On CNN, the commentator said they will just go back to reworking it. So they will agree to something Im sure of it. They wont just leave it like this...

yeah they spoke about a few things. One thing is to extend mortgages so this way they lower the payments and make it easier for someone to be able to keep their home. They also said the holders of the mortgage will pay off the insurance. Also some plan to help with mortgage backed securities

yeah it looked like everyone was on the fence about the plan...with the yes and no votes being so down the middle it's pretty clear...

i agree i have no idea how any of this will affect us, the little people, at the end of the day. i kinda wanna know but i kinda don't! eek!

I have faith this can be worked out without the ridiculous bailout. Like you said, were not a socialist government and the bailout was just socialism for the rich.

okay I just had this thing explained to me. Maybe they can pay 350 billion instead? Compromise? This is going to be a mess!

i saw on the news last night that JUST one of the companies is in need of $350 billion, so they were curious how $750 billion would even help ALL of them. I forgot which company it was that needed $350 billion to be bailed out.
