okay I just had this thing explained to me. Maybe they can pay 350 billion instead? Compromise? This is going to be a mess!

i saw on the news last night that JUST one of the companies is in need of $350 billion, so they were curious how $750 billion would even help ALL of them. I forgot which company it was that needed $350 billion to be bailed out.

Ya all the stocks have gone down like since Denise posted this. What has to happen for it to be considered a crash????

good question!!

They just go back to revising it, they'll keep meeting and revising until something passes. They're not going to just let it die and hope for the best. I expect a couple of drafts to make their way across the floor of capitol hill before something ultimately gets passed through. And the stocks will continue to rise and drop each time. Now's a good time to buy.

i was just watching it and they said if anything major happens they will have breaking news to announce it so im keeping my eye out

ugh Im so sick of the blame game. Clintons fault?? For Gods sake the man has been out of office for years now yet hes still being blamed for the mistakes this administration has made. Yeah he made it easy for people to buy homes but Bush has been in office for 8 years and there have been signs this was COMING yet he did nothing. Now it happened and its like WE HAVE ONE OPTION AND ONE OPTION ONLY AND WE MUST MOVE NOW.

I dont know about that but it questions their stance on it in the first place since their vote was able to be swayed. Im also confused because I thought many people were saying this bailout was the democrats idea yet Republicans are bashing the democrats for all the NO votes. Im a big ball of confusion

things would get very bad for all of us if it is not passed You're talking massive employments, banks not giving any kind of credit (school loans, credit cards, mortgages, etc), we could loss all of our retirement savings ..... there is so much that will have a hard impact on us and we should all be a bit scared. I am not a fan of the bill but I think it has to be done. It could cause very tough times for everyone.

it is EVERYONES fault at this point. Clinton passed it but since then the plan could've been changed. Its greedy ceo's and not just ceo's bc theyre the only ones getting blamed but others who work in the stock market do shady business. A friend of mine started working at one of the big companies, wont name names, a few years ago. Within her first few weeks there they tried to get her to do illegal things and they say it like its nothing, they were like 'oh you just need to do this, thank you' she turned around and said NO i might be new but i know whats legal and whats not and this is not and if something goes wrong bc of it, you all will blame me and put me under the bus. Its home owners, mortgage lenders, banks.

Unfortunately the panic is setting in for some people & people are reacting out of fear & since our markets are too emotional right now this could sink it all.

I wish everyone could be cool calm & collected & work it out, but unfortunately the large majority are going to panic & pull out their money. If everyone runs to the bank to pull out their money that is what will really trash the system
