There's some drama going on LIF right now... So here's the question: Would you be mad if a couple got engaged at your wedding? I responded yes I would be!!!! I think it's inappropriate and rude!! Thoughts?

I would have to say I would be upset....Honestly its MY wedding day .They can get engaged another day Did the bride and groom know that someone would get engaged at their wedding or it just happened?

Yes I would definitely be mad...they draw and take attention away from the bride and grooms day of celebration to 'celebrate' their engagement, its not right or fair

No....not at all. Unless it was a huge scene that took up time. If i was done quietly or quickly I wouldn't mind at all.
It would be nice to be informed beforehand though.
ETA: I would mind if they made a big production out of it-like stopping everything.

I actually wanted my sister to get engaged at my wedding, had it all planned out and everything. But if I didn't know about it, I would be a little peeved!

My DH actually proposed to me the day before a good friend of mine's wedding. I did not want to take away from her day so I didn't say anything to anyone. I waited till the day after to spread the news

I would be upset.
It is the bride and groom's day, so stealing the thunder from them is a big no-no. There is a time and place for everything. That's not the right time.

i agree. i actually had a friend of mine get engaged at my wedding- ver romantic by the gazebo and she didnt telll anyone until the following day- i totally did not mind at all!!!

Depends who it is I guess - For the most part I'd say Yes I would be furious!
My Sister n law actually announced they were pregnant at our wedding and that made me very mad! It was a whole production. etc... I mean really can't everyone just wait 1 Lousy day to share news that is all about THEM!

I don't think I'd mind. I'd probably be honored that they think of my wedding as a big enough deal for them to get engaged there. Especially if it were a close friend. But I'd want to know about it beforehand & I'd hope they'd time it for an appropriate moment during the night. That being said, I definitely wouldn't want to get engaged at somebody else's wedding.

I couldn't care less whether or not I was the ABSOLUTE center of attention at my wedding... I'm still the one in the white dress with a glass a Champagne in her hand, who JUST married her best friend.
