We have a 2 bedroom coop with an attic & still we have too much clutter- any ideas?
most of the problem is my shoes & his clothing
eta- has anyone tried space bags or i saw this other thing thats an under the bed shoe storage?

We have NO closet space in my apartment, so this is what I did. I took the back section of the bedroom - maybe about 2 feet out from the back of the wall, and we hung a big curtain rod across the ceiling (it sounds WT, but its not) so I have floor to ceiling drapes. Behind the drapes i have 2 armoirs and a small dresser from IKEA, as well as baskets and what not on top of the armoirs. Its like my own little walk in closet, and the drapes keep it from being an eyesore.
Most importantly I have a 1989 caboodles for my makeup, as you can see.

I also have a 2 bedroom with an attic.
I have two garment racks in my attic where I keep my off season clothes, and built in shelving for out of season shoes that I keep in their original boxes. The garment racks are great, because everything just hangs in canvas bags. I also keep some of my special event clothing and shoes up there, dresses that I may wear only once or twice a year, just to free up my closet.
My attic needs a major clean out though, because it becomes a dumping ground for stuff I don't want to get rid of.
As you start to put away your winter clothing, get rid of anything that you won't wear again, or is damaged beyond repair. Do the same thing with your shoes, and with the spring/summer clothing that you take out.

Ive used space bags for our comforters & blankets. They work, I shove them under the bed, and than I take them out when we need them.
we have the same, no attic. I definitely use underbed storage a lot. we also redid our closets by buying stuff at the container store. He bought me a shoe rack from BBB that hangs on the back of the bedroom door.
it all helps, but I still feel like the walls are closing in. I think we will need to get another dresser or something for his clothes.
oh, and I always store away my winter clothes or summer clothes when the seasons change in this big rubbermaid bin; I would never have room for all my clothes if I didnt.
