Did everyone plan their 1st anniversary plans together with DH's or was it more of a suprise for you planned by the husbands?
I was hoping that DH would be making plans by now ....Ive been dropping hints about how Important it is for me to do something really special...especially since we will be with family for Thanksgiving the day before.
I was hoping to go away for the weekend or at least get away for the night away from family. How do I get DH to start working on plans???

Re: Stressing about 1st anniversary
I'm not anywhere near our 1st anniversary, but I wanted to offer some .
I hope he surprises you with more memories for many years to come. But, I have a question for you that may help you. How much planning did the DH have in the wedding? Was he around then? Chances are, you'll probably get the same amount of help for your anniv. too. I notice DH didn't do any laundry or dishes or most chores premarriage without many reminders..... so I don't expect it to change post marriage either.

Re: Stressing about 1st anniversary
Hrmm...good point. DH was very active planning- actually took over most of it because I HATED wedding planning.
I just don't know if he realizes I have these concerns about something he doesnt find very important (anniversaries have never been his forte-doesnt understand why we celebrate them )
Thanks for the s though

Re: Stressing about 1st anniversary
ours is just over a month away and we have no plans
I am not expecting any surprises from him. our life is a little crazy right now... don't want to bore you with the details. I think we're probably just going to have a nice dinner and maybe celebrate properly another year.

Re: Stressing about 1st anniversary
We just booked a trip to Paris since we had to cancel that portion of our HM last year. This is probably the last big trip we are going to take for quite a while since we are TTC.
I am however, stressing over what to get him for a gift.

Re: Stressing about 1st anniversary
We are discussing together what to do. I don't think we will go anywhere exciting this year, unfortunately, but we were lucky enough to be able to take 2 honeymoons (since our first had to be rescheduled cuz of the hurricane) so it doesn't bother me that much. I have a free night at the hotel we stayed at on our wedding ngiht so we may do that the night before... not sure what to do the day of. We were thinking maybe the city or doing something out east....

PROBLEM SOLVED
PJ is the best.....he got us tickets to see Dane Cook at Madison Square Garden on 11/12!!!!
Its the perfecr present for me because I love Dane Cook and I'd rather do something than get an actual present.
