we were talking about this at work. some people don't like when there boyfriends/dh goes to strip clubs. if it happened every week, i think it would be a problem. if its once in a while with the guys, i'm ok with it. i think its a trust issue. if you trust the person you're with, it shouldn't be a problem. dh said when he went to one for his bachelor party, he says its not the same from when he used to go. he appreciates what was waiting for him at home
what's your take on strip clubs

I feelexactly the same way. I trust DH so it doesn't bother me at all when he goes. I am usually the only wife that knows when the biys have a 'night out'!

It's not always a trust issue. Some people actually have moral or other issues with strip clubs. To say that 'if you trust your spouse, then it shouldn't be a problem' is way too broad of a statement.
It's absolutely NOT a trust issue for me. It's a respect issue. DH hates strip clubs anyway (as do I) so it will never be a problem.
Others are totally entitled to their own opinions, but it wouldn't fly with me if my DH wanted to go a strip club, nor would it fly with him if I wanted to go to one. We're just not into that AT ALL.

really?? see if i was one of the other wives, i'd be very very pissed to find out that not only was my DH going to a strip club, but he was lying to me about it. why hide it from your wife if your not doing anything wrong that would worry me.

this is a no-no for both of us. It has nothing to do with trust, it has to do with respect for the one ur with. Everyone has different opinions on the subject....some people don't mind and that's fine - but this is jmo. I remember a WHILE back on a 'stripclub' post, one of the girls FH's got on and made a very good point (and this was from a guys point of view!).....he said 'If u wouldn't do something with ur spouse or significant other sitting right next to you - then u shouldn't be doing it.' (which is why again, i'll say - if it doesn't bother u than that's fine!) To me, there's a lot more to being unfaithful that just physical stuff. 'adultries of the heart' if u will. Again, this is jmo! I guess if u don't mind it, then it's not 'unfaithful'....but to me personally, I think staring with lust at other women is completely disrespectful and 'unfaithful' to your spouse.
I agree completely............
BUT, I have to say that I got lucky.....this is somethign that is a NON topic for us. My DH is not, has not been interested in strip clubs. He's 32 years old and has been in a club 2 times.......and that was in his early college years. He just has no desire for them......

Like other girls, it's not a trust issue--if we didn't trust each other, we wouldn't even have gotten married. It's a respect issue. Sometimes it's hard for people to understand this because they just assume that you don't trust someone, which is why you don't agree with it...but it's not about that at all.
For DH's bachelor party, his brother hired two strippers against DH's will (he hates this kind of stuff, which is why he always finds a way out when he's gone to a bachelor party that ended up at a strip club) and I got furious. My girls had enough courtesy and respect for our relationship to stay within boundaries, but DH's brother did not...DH and I have much respect for each other and our relationship to frequent strip clubs.

Re: Strip clubs
I agree with all of the ladies who wrote that this is not a trust issue, but rather a respect issue. My DH doesn't go to strip clubs because he is not interested, but if he did go, I would be turned off by him. I have been in plenty of strip cubs where men are sitting around the tables and getting lap dances with their wedding bands on and spending their hard earned money to get off by another woman. To me, that's gross. A night out with the boys doesn't necessarily have to include some lady rubbing her titts all over DH's face. I mean, whatever happened to playing cards?
