stupid advice needed lol

so i was browsing on craigslist last night ..looking at ads for jobs in my field. I saw an ad that had a typo ( ha, ironic ,right?)

well i replied to the add by correcting the poster.

they just emailed me back - 'thanks for applying but the position has been taken'

i didnt apply u dipshit!.. the field im in is SOO SMALL. So im not even sure if i know which doc's office manager I corrected ,but I realllllllly want to be clear that I didnt apply.

should i??
