For our 1st anniversary, I got a bunch of Giants tickets for a game in November so we could go with a bunch of his friends. I figured it was paper and he is a huge Giants fan. Now I'm thinking that maybe I should have gotten something a little more romantic. What do you think?

Re: Stupid Gift or not????
I think what's most important about the first anniversary gift is that it's memorable. And you and DH and your friends will create some great memories (make sure you take pics!) when you go to the game. So, yes, I think it's a great gift.
I personally would have left out the friends to make it more about the two of you but maybe you two can steal away for ice cream or a late night drive to the beach after the game, just the two of you to end the night off on a more romantic note.

My husband would jump for joy over that gift- Definately not stupid!
Remember we usually are the ones who go for the romantic stuff- hopefully that is what he will do for you!

IF you both will have fun, then it's perfect! I bought DH tix to see Judas Priest 6 days after our wedding with his brother! I knew they both loved it and it was a perfect gift for them.

Re: Stupid Gift or not????
I got DH and dog house (I know it sounds funny — he really wanted to get one for the dog but didnt want to spend the money) and for paper I got a poster for our basement that he loves! We both would rather get practical gifts that we wanted/needed and use than something cute and romantic that not as practical or wanted.
So I think your gift is great!

Thanks for the reassurance. We are doing something romantic but I thought this would be a lot of fun.

If I were buying them for me, they would have been Jets tix but since they were for him - My Big Blue Fan
