Such a great feeling....

I worked in a really rough high school when I became a guidance counselor...I was 22 and my seniors were practically my age (some were 21 bc they would drop out and come back in nyc your allowed through your 21st bday) anywooooooooo

I had a girl who had a really rough home life....I worked with her a lot and ended up really having a close bond with her....she went away to a community college with hope of transferring to UAlbany....

I was excessed last yr from this school and lost touch with her (and other students) and am so saddened...

Well she found me on facebook and she is graduating from UAlbany in May...I am so proud of her and just feel so happy right now...

Its so funny bc shes 22 now and Im 27 and she's calling me Ms. R ..Im like Tasha your an adult call me Liz

The area I worked in is poverty stricken and the fact that this young woman pulled her self up and out without any family support is truly amazing.....

Awww thanks girls, it's so good to see young girls doing great things...We are going to meet for dinner!!!!!!!!!!!! She's 21 now maybe we will have a glass of wine
