Please help! DH and I love to stay active in the summer months but the chemicals from pools and the salt from the ocean are really drying my hair. I color my hair blonde so it tends to be dry to begin with. Any summertime hair care shampoo/conditioner, mask, etc. any of you reccomend? FYI, the nearest ULTA is 30 minutes away so I'd like to buy sometime at a local, CVS, Target, etc. but, of course, I'll be at Ulta if I have to!

The neutrogena stuff works pretty well. (Can't remember the name of the particular line, but the bottles are golden colored). You can find it in any pharmacy.
Otherwise, believe it or not, cholesterol works wonders....it comes in a big tub for about $4.
All Soft by Redken (you can get this at CVS) or Water Rush also by Redken are great conditioners.
Pantene makes an intense overnight repair treatment that comes in those single serving type packages, you leave it on overnight and makes your hair so soft. It has to be rinsed out in the morning though.
Any conditioner really will work, just put on a shower cap and use a blow dryer to warm it up. The heat intensifies the conditioner.
