Well for my final question I thought I would ask questions about our past, present and future
Past Since you got engaged what changes have you noticed within yourself, your DH, your friends and family? If there hasnt been did you want something to have changed?
Present If you could give one piece of advice to someone who is dating, engaged or even newly married (for thos have have been married for a little bit) what would it be?
Future What would you like to do on your 1 yr anniversary or beyond? Do you see yourself celebrating in a big way like vacations or more low key?
For me.....
I havent really seen a change with family and friends since we had been dating for 7 yrs so it was no secret we were getting married and they hoped nothing would change. With myself I find myself thinking more about family and our home more so than ever. I knew I wanted a family but now it has become real and its going to happen. We are talking more about OUR future too
If I could give one piece of advice to one of my friends who has been dating another one of my friends it would be to not rush dating and enjoy the moments. She is really pushing marriage but I dont think she understands that its not working with him. Enjoy this time and relish it
I see us going on vacations around our anniversary or as close as we can. I love to travel so that will be our gift to one another. Other than that a nice dinner.

Well for my final question I thought I would ask questions about our past, present and future
Past I noticed that his friends felt that he was with me more and spend less time with them. Before we were engaged, I was really good friends with all of them and we hung out all the time. As soon as they found out we were getting married (even though it was expected), I noticed their attitude has changed so much. They argued with me a lot and insisted that I didn't get along with them and started those arguments. I noticed, I was not happy b/c I got sick and tired of having to defend myself and DH all the time. And at that point, I didn't want anything to do with his friends.
Present I knew DH as friends before we were dating. So I think that's a healthy start b/c it builds that bond and understanding. I also lived with DH for almost 3 yrs before we got married. And you really have to ask yourself, do I love this person enough through good and bad times and be fully prepared to be in a committed relationship? Because if you have doubts, I wouldn't suggest to live together esp if you don't feel ready. This will cause personality clashes resulting in arguments. My advice is to get to know each other first and let the relationship grow from there. There's no need to rush into anything. For those who are newly married or married for a bit, enjoy the journey together and where ever the ride takes you both!
Future We just celebrated our 1st yr anniversary this past June! We had a low-key dinner and went for a scroll on the Coney Island beach! We didn't get to plan much since we were leaving for a road trip that same week. He suprised me with a Givenchy choker with white flower & crystals! I brought tickets for him to a Hawaiian Luau! We would love to travel for another 2-3 years before we have children.

Ive noticed that certain friends dont call as much anymore to hang out. I was hoping more friends would be calling now that we were part of the 'married club'
Present If you could give one piece of advice to someone who is dating, engaged or even newly married (for thos have have been married for a little bit) what would it be?
Enjoy each other - never take even the smallest thing for granted - show appreciation & gratitude. Be affectionate - never be afraid to show/express your love. Give kisses & hugs for no reason at all - even if you're just passing each other in the hallway. Always say I love you - say it whenever you feel it - there are no guarantees in tomorrow & you never want to regret not having that be the last thing you say to each other. & communicate - this is always the hard one - (even for me at times) Discusss things - talk about ideas, feelings, goals, fears, dreams - be honest, but dont be hurtful.
Future What would you like to do on your 1 yr anniversary or beyond? Do you see yourself celebrating in a big way like vacations or more low key?
I'd love to go back to Sandals (we both would) whether it would be Antigua or maybe try St. Lucia. But between me not having a job right now, DH possibly having to have knee surgery sometime soon - I have NO idea what we'll be doing...but the way I see it is that as long as we're together - if we're eating our cake & having a nice home cooked meal or chinese take out & lots of kissing & lovin' - then that's good enough for me!

Past: The biggest change I've seen? Not so much a change, but our relationship has grown stronger, with each other and within our families..Its beautiful
Present: The advice I would give is to always remember to take a step back and take in every moment. Its easy to get swept up in the excitement of getting engaged, planning a wedding, etc-so I would advice to remember all the 'little things' along the way.
Future: What do we wanna do on our anniversary? Well, we're going to a wedding in Hawaii a few days after our actual anniversary, so we are considering that an anniversary trip. And on that trip we'll be starting to make some babies!
