Supermarket chain?

Which supermarket do you shop at? (Stop and Shop, King Kullen, etc?) Which chain do you think has the best prices?

Also – have you used PeaPod? Good/bad?

We just moved and there’s a Waldbaum’s right near us, but I don’t really like the layout of it and I’m wondering if it’s worth driving a little more to find one I like better.

Kristen, how far are you from Wantagh? I go to the Iavarones on Wantagh Ave and Jerusalem...its amazing. Pricey but amazing.

For everyday stuff I go to Stop and Shop on Jerusalem and Newbridge and then for meats, I go to Pat's Farms in Merrick...

We go to Key Food, Shop Rite, Trader Joe's and Fairway. I try to buy things when they are on sale. I find that there are certain products that we like that I can only find at each store. I rotate when I go to each one and stock up on what we use. I save a fortune by only buying things when they are on sale. I buy most of my meat at Costco and DH gets our fish from Arthur Ave.

I either go to Stop & Shop or Waldbaums. I hate hate hate food shopping so I really just run in to whatever store I'm passing by.

By the way - if you are talking about the Waldbaums on Sunrise Highway in Massapequa - I hate the layout of that one!!! My mom lives in Amityville and I'll stop at the Stop & Shop on Merrick Road there. Also, on Park Blvd in Massapequa Park, the IGA is really good - small but they have good stuff.

i use to work at the stop and shop in amityville!

I used to shop there a lot more often since it was in between my apt and my mom's house! I was forever running in on my way to or from her house for one or two things.

I Love Uncle Giuseppes for specialty italian items and Stop and Shop for everyday items gotta love their 10 for 10 items!! feeding a hungry teenager can get expensive!!!! For seafood I love John's Farm in Bethpage/Plainview.
