I just got trays made up & have been using Opalessence. I use the one that u do for 5 days 1 hour per day.
Yes it does get tingely & make su sensitive. For some people. I actually didnt have too much of a problem with it. I LOVE IT!

My sil's husband is a dentist and said that you can just create your own. Just mix some baking soda with hydrogen peroxide to make a paste and rub it across your teeth for a couple of minutes a day ...and you should see a difference. I havent tried it yet but I plan to.

Re: teeth whitening..
As a wedding gift my dentist made the trays for me & gave me two tubes of the bleach whitening. I put it on twice a day for 30 minutes each time. I really noticed a difference & I did not have any sensitivity problems.

Re: teeth whitening..
i used Crest Whitestrips Advanced Seal and they were fantastic. My teeth were sensitiv but i attribute that to Brite Smile that I did a few years ago that made my teeth really sensitive

Re: teeth whitening..
This may sound weird but I swear by the CVS brand teeth whitener trays. I used them before the weekend and now I use them for 5 -7 days (or even 3) before an event or something I want my teeth whiter for. They work soooo much better than the Crest whitestrips which are flimsy and hard to use. They are like $18
Just wanted to add that my teeth are SUPER sensitive and I was sooo scared about whitening them. But I had NO problems AT ALL with the CVS brand, and I would leave them on for up to an hour
