def the games,,, the one where they ask me questions about dh that he already answered and i have to guess what he said and if i get it wrong i have to put a stick of gum in my mouth and i did sooo bad i had 40 question to answer and i got like only 10 right it was really funny

Oh my god I played this one but they used bubbalicious, not sticks of gum, and my stupid DH didn't answer the questions right!!!! I know him better than he knows himself. I made him play the gmae that night and we went through 3 packs of bubbalicious with the answers he gave

We played this game at my shower too! DH so lied about his answers! I had about 13 pieces of gum in my mouth by the end!

Re: tell me the best part of your shower

I actually had two showers. My first shower was with friends that couldn't attend the shower given by my bridal party. At my first shower we played pin the hose on the fireman (and we did a jello shot before pinning the hose) and we also had a pinata filled with candy, massage oil, bath fizzies, tissues, mini bottles of booze and condoms. At my bridal party shower we really didn't play any games. At both showers they made me the lovely bow & ribbon hat. To be honest the best part about both showers was seeing friends & family that I hadn't seen in a long time.

The games were great. Even the uptight women joined the fun.

We played many, but my favorite was the one with the women making wedding dresses out of toilet paper. Their designs were hilarious, especially when they used household items as props (such as a broom for a flower bouquet!)

Hmm my mom made this little book of pete and I..she scrounged up pics of us from baby to now and how we came together..really cute. LOVED that.

At my MOH's shower I came up with the games and we made weding dresses out of toilet paper lmao. That was sooo much fun, people got really competitive and everyone ended up getting a prize but that went over well.

Bridal Bingo is always easy and fun.

If you want a trashy one, yuo write down all the things the bride says as she opens her gifts liek 'Oh my God its HUGE!' or 'Wow look at this' and then you read it back to ehr in a story format of what she will say on her wedding night to her husband.

Another easy ongoing game is the clothespin game; if you cross your legs someone can steal your clothespin. At the end of the party person with the most wins a prize.

*at my shower there was a game with a timer and someone is in charge of the timer and when the timer goes off the person's gift I am opening gets a gift... (i think it went off every 5/7 min - not sure) i thought it was the cutest thing and my guests loved it! i love that game!
*Everyone brought there favorite recipe (on a recipe card) = such a cute idea
*Candle Poem
*There was another poem with the laundry basket filled with household items! If you are interested FM and I will dig them up! I am sure I still have it!

good luck and happy planning!

Hmmm...
the games were unexpectedly fun. I usually dread them. They did the one where they interviewed DH ahead of time. He actually showed up at the moment we were going to play, so he got to share his answers face-to-face. It was funny.
My BM also did something cute with a poem and all these different panties and PJs....it went through the years--started with a scandalous thong, ended with a moo-moo.

My mom also did a great Martha Stewart-like job decorating. The biggest hit was the cupcakes. They looked like flower pots and tasted amazing!!!

Re: tell me the best part of your shower

there were sooo many things i loved from my shower. My top two would be:
1. For my 21st birthday my mom promised me a scrapbook but then never gave it to me - she gave it to me at my shower finally and it was definitely worth the wait!
2. My friend Dana is sooooo talented and she made this slideshow for me. At the end she had video taped my then FH answering questions for that 20 questions game. When i got one wrong i had to take a shot lol
3. My uncle hand crafted a giant you - know what and had my friend read teh poem that went along with it - it was hysterical!
4. My mom did an AMAZING job decorating! everything was pink and she even made these beautful bustierre's (sp?) for each of my bms plus there were flowers everywhere - the favors were violets (i think) in little pink pots - we had pink champagne

Mine was at work....my co-workers threw me a shower in the office and it was Hawaiian themed. The best part was walking into my surprise shower with DH and being greeted by my three male co-workers dressed as hula dancers with skirts, coconut tops and all

And we also played a game where they asked Jeff questions and then saw if we had the same answers. We were hysterical!

Everything!!

I love absolutely everything about my shower. It was a HUGE surprise and soo much fun!

Loved the games, the food, the family and friends and I loved that my amazing Bridesmaids got the whole place decked out with Cherry Blossoms. I had orignally wanted them for my wedding but in 2007 the summer came early and my florist couldn't get them for June. Since my shower was in May - my bridesmaids were able to get them for me!!! I've got some fun pictures in my album. Check them out!

We did a similar game at my shower, but I didn't have to stick gum in my mouth! Instead, my BMs had asked all the guests to make a prediction of how many questions I would get right, and the winners got small prizes.

Also, at the shower for a friend of mine, we had an oven timer that we kept setting for 5 min. while the bride opened her gifts. Then every time the timer went off, the person who gave the gift that the bride was opening won a prize.
