ok so i just got my proofs on fri. and i will be picking out the picture/s for the thank you tonight to be submitted on tuesday. but it says to expect at least 1 month from the time the layout is approved to get the thank yous. by this time it will prob be close to 3 months after the wedding... will guests understand?
i dont want them to think im ungrateful or its unappreciated b/c thats not the case.
i dont know what the protocol is when it comes to this please help ease my mind!
thanks!

Re: Thank you ?
I think most people send them out 3 months later. However I have gotten some 6 months later!
We are a tad anal and doing ours right now! We put a rush on it so we could get them done asap.

Re: Thank you ?
I just sent them out and it was my 3 month anniversary when most people received them. I think that's about average. Some guests even said they were QUICK!!

Re: Thank you ?
The majority of people understand the lengthy process and will definitly understand. I was worried about the same thing and my mom said everyone knows the process and certainly doesn't expect one right away.
This is actually killing me b/c Im the type of person that likes to be right on top of things like this. I mean, I had my thank-you's already and started writing them out the night of my shower and they were all mailed by 3 days later. But people will definitly understand.

I think three months is perfect. Are the pictures inserts or printed on the actual card? If they are inserts maybe you can have everything written out, addressed and stamped so you are done with the pictures are ready!

You will be fine. Guests are used to getting them later since usually the turn around time is alot longer then it has become over years. Relax-its fine to send them then.
Also 1 month is long, it took my photographer less then 2 weeks to get mine printed Maybe it means 1 month total-for proof and print

Re: Thank you ?
we had planned on sending ours out right away, and i only just mailed out mine today. that's over 5 months we did have the excuse of redoing our apt, but we were done w/ that over a month ago. then i just got lazy. your guests will understand.

Re: Thank you ?
i got mine and they are sitting on my table waiting... and they'll be sitting there until August when I finish my class.
my cousin got married last july and I never got a thank you yet. I don't think it's a big deal; I know most say it's too long but a lot of people I know tend to follow the within the year rule. I don't plan on doing that but i think you're fine.

Re: Thank you ?
3 months is fine. Guests know that photographers take awhile to return proofs, let alone print up the thank you pics..
Our photographer took 3 months JUST TO GET THE PICS IN.. They 'forgot' to tell us they were waiting on the cards themselves, which we werent taking anyway.. By the time they went out, it was over 4 months... closer to 5 I think
None of my guests made a peep HTH

Re: Thank you ?
I'm almost at the 3 month mark and I only have a few more to go. I think its fine...I'm trying to remember when I've gone to other weddings, how long it was before they sent thank yous, and I think it was around that time.
