So DH and I are FINALLY ordering our thank you cards from our photographer. We have the option to have a preprinted message but the choices they provide are really cheesy. I am looking for something short and sweet that does not rhyme...all of the choices from the photographer rhyme and DH hates it! I know preprinted messages are impersonal but I have limited time and having a short preprinted message will cut down how much I have to write in each card. Any suggestions??

Re: Thank you cards
Dont make a preprinted msg.... so what if it takes you longer to do them by handwritting personal msgs... I totally appreciate a thoughtful card than one that looks like no effort went into it... Ive gotten a 1 liner msg before that was scribbled onto the card and personally i felt like... why even bother... i can tell you dont even care KWIM?

Re: Thank you cards
I know you ladies are right I just do not think I will ever get them done. I already feel terrible we have waited so long! I am in graduate school full time and my typical day is a minimum of 12 hours. Maybe I can bribe DH to at least write the cards for his friends and family.

def get your dh involved... they like to use that good ol excuse that we have better handwriting i dunno about you but mine looks pretty sh*tty after writing 50 tys...
In would try to do a few a day.... some days you really just dont want to attempt it but other days, theres like no stopping ya and it just flows naturally (at least that was my case)... start off with a general template... change words around here and there for diff guests... and of course those closer, make more personal... I wrote books in some of mine, but it eventually got done This may sound crazy, but even if you have a break between classes, use that time to get a few done... you can do it!!!!!

Re: Thank you cards
We did a pre-printed card that said 'Thank you for adding to the joy of our wedding.' Then we wrote our heartfelt, personal messages around that.
The day we sent ours out, we received one from a friend who got married a month before us. The message was pre-printed, included a line that said '... whether you celebrated with us in body or in spirit ... ' and had a MISSPELLED WORD.

This might be a good compromise. I may have to steal your message!
