Thank You Cards - (Poll)

Thank You Cards - (Poll)

How long after your wedding did you send out your TY cards?
I need to decide which pictures and what template im such a procrastinator!!!

ETA:
is $2 for a postcard type TY card - (thats what my photographer offered us)
what do you think???

if i had like 195 people - ill probably need like 100 cards!?

hmmmmmmm

im sooo lazy i think i'd rather just do that instead of going through all the putting together - ordering myself.

We got married in July and sent thank yous in November & December.

(Steve did most for his family and didn't do them until December)...

We sent them out within 3 months because I was raised with the Miss manners mentality fo sending out a TY AS SOON as you get the gift. I had my BS TY's in the mail the same weekend.

We had to wait to get the proofs but true etiquette says 2 weeks after the HM to a month for the traditional ty's but with the new ty's its been extended. Some people wait a year but thats not the real etiquette. People have year to send a gift but TY's should be out no later than 6 months if you can help it and only if you're not doing the traditional non picture ty's.

Re: Thank You Cards - (Poll)

It was almost 2 months!! I was mortified because some of my moms friends started asking her if we got their gift. A lot of them had sent us something off our registry and know we live in an apartment building, so they wanted to make sure we got it. I think the etiquette is to have them sent no later than 2 weeks after you return from the honeymoon, but now its hard if people plan to use a photo because it takes the photogrpahers so long to get them to you. So Im thinking the etiquette has changed- but I personally think they should be out within 3 months at the most. I know a lot of people say you have ayear, but once I got a thank you 8 months later and thought it was weird. LOL.

do you remember my freak out when it was reaching two months? LOL. I live by Martha Stewart wedding etiquette! LOL. But my mom also always makes me send thank yous right away. I had my shower thank yous out the day after my shower- but I didn't want to wait on those because I ahd so much going on at the same time.

NO STRESS! Ok honey WHAT do you want to do? Vistaprint you can get them done up really easily. Just create the design yourself nd then upload it. if its a note card you can write on the inside-no need for thick paper.

You can make it a pic thnk you or they have nice pre-created designs you can use and customize.

FM me if you need help.

I did mine 21/2 months but that I understand is pretty quick.
I think they say 3 months but most don't even do that I think alot of girls will tell you they took longer.

I had peps still complain about my 2 1/2 month time frame that is was not sooner
